Director - DevOps (Preferable E commerce/Product Companies only)  POSITION SUMMARY   The Director - DevOps is an exciting technical leadership position that is responsible for managing the entire production infrastructure for all product verticals. DevOps team provides 24 X 7 support monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting its highly scalable cloud-based B2C digital lending infrastructure. This leader and his/her team in will also be responsible for designing / automating processes, building tools, and implementing best-in-class DevOps frameworks / applications to facilitate the development of a high quality Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment environment with minimal production issues.  CRITICAL BUSINESS ACTIVITIES   - Manage the 24 X 7 operations of the DevOps team that includes   Application health monitoring  Business metrics / process monitoring  System / infrastructure health monitoring  Deployment and handling change management requests  Addressing customer service driven technical queries  - Ensure minimal production issues and quick time to recovery  - Define, manage, promote and execute various development activities for DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, and continuous monitoring  - Work collaboratively with the software engineering team to integrate the various tools in the DevOps toolchain and SDLC process to accelerate development and infrastructure team velocity while maintaining high standards for quality and consistency  - Allow software teams to deploy and monitor releases in a - self-serve- manner, by enabling deployment from code repositories and continuous testing that leverages state of the art infrastructure and continuous delivery tools  - Work closely with IT Security Manager to ensure all recommended actions on infrastructure are executed  - Build a strong team made up of dev ops engineers that embody the concept - Infrastructure as Code   - Develop, motivate, empower, and evaluate team to expand professional, management, leadership, and technical skills  COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  Skills and Experience   - Proven background of leading high performance DevOps teams focusing on a 24x7 e-commerce/ financial services environment that drive automation to increase speed to market and enhance self-service capabilities  - A strong passion for infrastructure as code and associated automation and provisioning tools  - Experience with a formal configuration management tool such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.  - Experience with integrating automation workflow tools such as Jenkin, Hudson, GoCD, Bamboo, etc.  - Experience in highly available and resilient applications and infrastructures  - Must have built and operated high volume big data cloud solutions  - Experience with environments at scale based on business demands and seasonality  - Experience in building/enhancing continuous integration and continuous delivery services  - Experience in deploying and managing docker container applications  - Experience in managing multi-region and multi-zone production infrastructures in AWS or other cloud services with internal and geo failover capabilities  - Experience in setting up infrastructures for PCI environment  - Experience in setting up security controls and monitoring processes for production environment  - Excellent organizational and leadership skills  - Outstanding communication abilities  Competencies   - Execution: Ability to identify critical paths and drive the plans to support one or more complex product and platform deliverables with a commitment to quality and time  - Management: A true - roll up the sleeves and get it done- working approach; demonstrated success as a problem solver, operating as a result-oriented, self-starter  - Communication: Superior communication skills with the ability to present technical topics to non-technical audiences and build partnerships with business area leaders and external solution providers  - Leadership: Ability to maintain high morale, both within the architecture group, and externally as well by inspiring trust and sense of achievement.
