Role : The case for Risk Model Utility lies in rapidly evolving regulations, which are driving significant compliance and modelling projects across the industry. We add value to individual banks, which are able to use the RMU's services at a fraction of the cost it would take to develop similar services themselves. We provide services across following three RMU areas, which are relevant to any central industry solution : - Data collation - Model development - Suite of methodologies The RMU tech head role envisages conceptualization, architecting and development of a risk modeling technology platform which will be used for development and execution of a number of risk models that global banks use for strategic activities like stress testing, IFRS, Scenario expansion etc. This is a senior leadership level role. Candidate will need to have deep understanding of banking domain especially in the risk management area and also understand technology frameworks that supports development and execution of risk models. Besides the role also requires very detailed understanding and hands on experience of predictive analytics construct both in the classical models and in the new age machine learning models Duties : - Build and Lead a technology COE unit that can develop a technology platform to support the RMU requirements - Role would involve architecting of the tech platform using latest technology frameworks like Angular, Bootstrap, Spark etc. Platform development will largely involve : Inventorizing of model : 1. Creating workflow streams for risk analysts in RMU 2. Develop model execution container for industry standard model development platforms like R/Python etc 3. Provide data profiling and discovery module 4. Data model execution container - Work with the risk analysts and team of data scientists to bring in all the necessary frameworks and features required for risk modeling in banks - Work closely with business teams and product development teams to understand requirements, lead design solutions, participate in task development and levels of effort estimates and oversee staff's tasks and estimates - Keeping up to date with latest technology trends especially in the machine learning - Understands the business side of our corporate applications, as well as our language/operations applications, to support our goal of seamless solutions and integration for our users - Works closely with senior executives in providing strategic roadmap to the RMU business and help in creating a world class utility
