Key responsibilities for this role include: - Managing the specialist team of payments lawyers and compliance managers already in company. The Indian Legal & Compliance team will need strong leadership from an internationally experienced payments lawyer. - Manage the compliance and reputational risks associated with the business company operates in and the obligations that arise out of the relationship it has with the RBI, banks, the card acquirers, etc. - Identifying legal issues and risks that may affect company's business - Providing legal guidance relating to the formulation and implementation of strategies and policies. - Implementing the global legal and regulatory risk compliance program - Ensuring that appropriate legal advice is taken into account before decisions are taken and that systems are in place requiring legal review before company assumes obligations. - Responsible for contact with regulators and our external partners, such as banks and super merchants. - Expertise in local and international legislative initiatives like Data Protection, FATF, KYC and AML - Experience in providing strategic advice at a senior level to multinational organizations. - International experience and documented work in different locations. - Experience in running legal and regulatory risk management and compliance programs.
