Job Title: Director of Branding

Department: Marketing & Communications

Reports To: Pro-Vice Chancellor

Location: Gujarat


Position Summary:

The Director of Branding is responsible for shaping, articulating, and promoting the universitys brand identity to enhance reputation, support enrollment goals, strengthen alumni engagement, and align internal and external communications. This role is strategic and collaborative, leading initiatives that ensure consistency and innovation in how the university presents itself across all platforms and audiences.


Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive university brand strategy aligned with institutional goals and values.

- Lead the creation, implementation, and oversight of brand standards and visual identity guidelines across all departments and campuses.

- Collaborate with departments such as admissions, advancement, athletics, and academic units to ensure brand consistency.

- Manage market research and brand perception studies to inform branding strategy.

- Oversee creative direction for marketing campaigns, digital content, publications, and event promotions.

- Supervise brand-related projects including logo development, tagline creation, storytelling initiatives, and multimedia campaigns.

- Ensure alignment of tone, messaging, and visual style across websites, social media, advertising, and print materials.

- Provide training, resources, and guidance to campus communicators on brand usage.

- Lead a team of designers, writers, and brand specialists.

- Monitor emerging trends in higher education marketing and incorporate best practices.


Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, branding, design, or related field (Masters preferred).

- Minimum 810 years of progressive experience in branding, marketing, or communications.

- Strong portfolio demonstrating success in brand development and implementation.

- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and project management skills.

- Deep understanding of visual identity systems, storytelling, and brand strategy.

- Experience in higher education or mission-driven organizations preferred.
