Role Description - Formulating and implementing marketing & PR strategies that cultivate the company's relationships with the media, engage their target audience, and boost the company's brand awareness - Working directly with the founders and BU leaders to define the roadmap for PR at an org level - Lead the company's response to press inquiries, and manage media expectations in relation to responses, background information, and data - Act as a senior counsel for business teams on PR considerations in relation to the external environment, policy and regulatory landscape, and emerging news cycles - Maximizing brand presence on various channels (e.g. web, TV, and social media) - Building and leading a world-class PR team while coordinating with internal teams (e.g. Marketing and Communications) to maximize brand consistency in all advertising efforts - Developing the PR strategy and creating a PR roadmap along with the PR agency for building the brand across multiple stakeholders, educators &amp; learners - Managing and developing relationships with external agencies and positioning the company as a thought leadership brand imperative in creating our Employer Value Proposition Attributes we are looking for - Minimum Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field - 8+ years of the overall experience, the last few years preferably spent heading the Public Relations function at a Pan India level for Consumer Internet companies - Proven experience in managing internal team along with liaising with external agencies - Possess gold-standard relations in national and regional media, from Editors to beat reporters and columnists - Confident and well-articulated to serve as the company spokesperson, as required - Excellent communication skills, including writing, with a knack to spot a good story - Problem solver, with the ability to find innovative solutions to manage/mitigate crisis situations - Expertise in social media networks, including Facebook and Twitter, and in running SM campaigns
