Director - Actuarial - Life Insurance

Opportunity with Global Insurance Based Organization for Director Level for Life Insurance Actuarial Role

- Responsible for Solvency II reporting for all EMEA

- Lead the SII Production process and responsible for Quarterly and Annual valuation

- Address queries from internal stakeholders as well as auditors which includes explanation and analysis of results to key stakeholders including the production of written reports;

- Support in specification and validation of new valuation methodologies, models and product implementations;

- Addressing Regulatory Requirements for various Insurance regulatory bodies across Europe, CBI (Ireland), KNF (Poland) and EIOPA (European Body responsible for Solvency II)

- Addressing Regulatory Requirements for various Insurance regulatory bodies across Europe, CBI (Ireland), KNF (Poland) and EIOPA (European Body responsible for Solvency II)

- Support additional financial research, governance, controls, actuarial methods and standards used within assigned sub-region;

- Develop strong working relationships and strategic partnerships with internal clients (e.g. sub-regional CFO, CRO, Chief Actuary) to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction;

- Review work produced by team, manage timelines and ensure critical focus on core deliverables throughout the course of the reporting year

- Managing a bigger team of close to 35 people and ensure that all issues are timely addressed to ensure smooth delivery of work

To ensure the delivery of the following objectives:

- External and Internal Reporting

- Timely and accurate production and analysis of actuarial balances on existing business for Regulatory Reporting (SII);

- Liaison with Financial Controllers & other relevant parties to ensure suitable and consistent reserving and accounting practices;

- Assistance to the Chief Actuary and senior management team in the continuous monitoring of the adequacy of capital resources, and analysis of the solvency balance sheet;

- Error free, clear communication of results via reporting templates, memos, reports or presentations

- Address any queries that come from any of the internal stakeholder's and also closely liase with IT team and GAM team to ensure that balances are accurately / timely produced

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Position:

- Error free delivery of results to required timescales and relevant actuarial standards;

- Execution of data validation and completeness checks to required actuarial and audit standards;

- Contributing towards good team morale and positive team engagement and professional development;

- Ensuring excellent communication between Noida-based team and stakeholders based in different geographical locations;

- Taking demonstrable ownership of work; clearly flagging any issues and goal delivery concerns to senior leadership team.

Education

- A bachelors or masters university degree with a heavy mathematical focus (e.g. mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, financial economics - these are examples only)

- Good exam progress, preferably a fellow with SA2 exam

Experience

- Around 13+ years of actuarial experience with most of the experience in Life Insurance domain

- Regulatory Reporting experience preferred
