Title: Real Estate and Workplace Solutions Real Estate Strategy, Digital Transformation and Connected Buildings Analyst

The company REWS team is seeking a digital transformation consultant for real estate. This position requires deep experience in smart buildings industry and corporate/commercial real estate management, as well as a solid grounding on how real estate management / smart buildings can drive sustainability outcomes.

The selected individual is responsible for helping practice leadership develop and deliver smart building strategies and IoT-based solutions for clients, and in addition, will help drive business growth for this practice offering. The role demands domain understanding and implementation experience of leading practices and technology solutions for energy management, space management, and data driven real estate operations.

The selected candidates should possess strong communication, influencing and analytic skills, technical creativity, and business acumen. Key expectations from the role are to:

- Advise clients on how to improve customers and stakeholders experience with built spaces to create more collaborative and connected work environments

- Identify, evaluate, and develop smart building technology solutions; architect analytics-driven digital solutions for improving asset utilizations, managing costs, improving operational efficiencies, and improving sustainability performance

- Redesign real estate management operations using digital solutions (e.g., IoT, Digital Twin) that enable a more productive workplace experience and optimize overall cost of ownership

Job Description:

A professional at this position level within company has the following responsibilities:

- Oversee Digital Transformation, Connected Building/Infrastructure engagements - from ideation and planning to design and solution integration, deployment, and ongoing support

- Provide leadership to help achieve growth and innovation aligned with the Connected Buildings and Sustainability offerings within the Real Estate and Workplace Solutions practice

- Assist leadership to identify new markets and generate demand for Connected Buildings and Sustainability consulting offerings; provide insight into competitive landscape by tracking competitors

- Develop deep understanding of target markets and key clients to identify opportunities

- Manage relationships and lead conversations with client stakeholders with a problem-solving mindset to build successful partnerships and become a trusted advisor to clients

Travel:

For now, all company business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Basic Qualifications:

- A minimum of 1+ years relevant experience in real estate and workplace digital solution delivery

- A minimum of 1+ years consulting or industry experience in developing business cases to support investment decisions, implementing solutions in a manager role and communicating directions to engineering teams

- Strong business and technical orientation from an academic discipline or industry trainings

- A minimum of 1+ years experience with agile/hybrid methodologies for digital transformation

- Past evidence of having successfully delivered at least 1 life-cycle engagements in digital transformation project for large clients

- Bachelors degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or comparable discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

- Relevant masters degree/ industrial qualifications and professional registrations, such as Professional Engineer (PE) or other relevant certifications (LEED, WELL, RESET, etc.).

- Preferred experience working in engineering, facility management, building design and construction

- Displays in-depth working knowledge and understanding of the smart buildings, operational, and

workplace technology industry to include the existing and emerging vendor landscape.

- Understanding of the value propositions for corporate occupier clients of Connected Buildings and

Sustainability

- Familiarity with how real estate initiatives relate to, and work in support of, high level corporate Sustainability and ESG commitments

- Understanding of security technologies and concepts, including design experience.

- Project experience in building mapping or geo-spatial systems along with experience developing core technologies in computer vision, machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, and speech recognition

Working knowledge of any of the following:

- Building automation and information management systems

- Physical assets tracking and management

- Predictive and preventive maintenance

- Digital twin for building systems

- Touchless access control, and sensor-based access management

- CMMS/work order systems, space planning / management systems, financial and reporting systems

- Strong writing and user research skills with emphasis on next generation technologies in the real

estate and infrastructure domain

- Effective teamwork, networking, and collaboration skills with ability to get things done in a complex,

matrixed environment with distributed teams.
