Digital Head - FMCG (10-15 yrs)

This person is responsible for developing and executing digital transformation & Innovation roadmap across various segments and functions for leveraging technology to grow business, improve margins, performance, customer proximity and understanding. This role will facilitate segments to be more agile in executing new market-innovation, business-models and cutting-edge technologies to develop a long-term competitive advantage in the market.

Key responsibilities are to:

- Lead a Multidisciplinary team with diverse skills in Technology, Communication, Product Management, Project management etc.

- Work hand-in-hand with Business Development and Operation teams and provide assistance, expertise, and references to jointly grow the business, retain existing accounts and develop additional opportunities

- Manage dedicated and part-time/nominated resources in segments, SO & transversal functions to ensure the rigorous project management

- Building strong internal network & relationships across the local, regional and global teams and maintain an active exchange on progress on key strategic priorities

- Develop and Nurture a culture of continuous innovation by creating and animating Digital & Innovation Community to encourage collaboration, sharing best practices, new skills development etc.

- Identifying key capabilities required for digital transformation and adoption and develop content & hire talent to develop such capabilities

- Propose necessary changes in the processes to set the necessary levers to drive digital transformation including: Cultural change, Process redesign and skills gap

- Develop Digital transformation Roadmap of the country in line with the business strategy of various segments to leverage technology to improve efficiency, performance, customer proximity and understanding

- Understanding key market trends, client & consumer insights to develop strategy in line with Global, Regional and local priorities of the company

- Develop content and communications strategy related to the implementation and adoption of new projects and initiatives for internal employees, clients and consumers using social media, internal emailers and other communication channels

- Identifying investments, Mergers & acquisition opportunities for in-organic growth in new business models and technology-native companies

- Build Data strategy for the country and to execute the strategy using new capabilities internally and through partnerships within the global and local players

- To scout and evaluate and develop strategic partnerships in India by nurturing partnerships with tech-companies, Start-ups, Accelerators & Incubators, Academia, Industry-bodies and governmental associations

- Develop Proof-of-concept of technology-enabled services and business-models to implement and measure impact for key growth priorities of the segments

Profile:

- Post-Graduate in Business Management (Marketing preferred)

- 10+ years of experience in a Business role

- Experience as a Head of Digital or Business transformation in a national role (Preferred experience in a large multi-national organization)

- Having diverse hands-on experience in Marketing, Technology partnerships, Project management (preferred understanding of Design Thinking)

- Business Know-How - General Business understanding, Financing models, start-up financing, Incubators and accelerators etc.

- Financial & Legal understanding - Good understanding & hands-on working with financial and business models with basic understanding of contracts

- Exposure of working with top-leadership Preferably in the large-multinational environment

- Good understanding of technology ecosystem, Digital Payment, Digital Marketing, user-experience design, software development, electronics, Data compliance & regulations

- Marketing and communication to articulate solutions, engage with clients and consumers and put effective change management processes.
