Digital Communications Associate (Mumbai/Delhi/Dakar)

Dalberg is currently seeking a full- time Digital Communications Associate who will contribute to Dalberg's mission by ensuring our cutting edge development ideas drive the public conversation online. The Digital Communications Associate will report to our Global Communications Manager to execute an integrated digital communications strategy across all of Dalberg's regions, businesses, and practice areas during a time of tremendous activity and growth. The Digital Communications Associate will support many aspects of communications at Dalberg, with a focus on Dalberg's digital presence: social media, external websites, analytics and more. In addition, the Digital Communications Associate will be exposed to major issues in global development - from public health to ICT4D to environmental issues.

- The Digital Communications Associate will support the firm's communications efforts as a member of the Global Shared Services team. This position will sit in our Dakar, New Delhi or Mumbai offices. This position is for a communications professional, and is not a consultant track position.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Co-create Dalberg's digital strategy and implement the digital workstream to gain web traffic, increase search engine optimization (SEO), boost social media followers and generally promote Dalberg's ideas online

- Coordinate, edit, and post content on the Dalberg website and blog

- Identify strategies to enhance Dalberg's social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) and manage Dalberg's presence on these platforms

- Coordinate, publish and disseminate Dalberg's weekly internal update and monthly external e- newsletter

- Regularly track outputs and outcomes from communications activities (e.g., social media, newsletters) and analyze the data to inform Dalberg's communications strategy (in close collaboration with the Communications Senior Associate)

- Support partners and staff in external communications, including creating and delivering internal trainings on effective communication, and maintaining resources on Dalberg's intranet

- Support the development and dissemination of the firm's thought leadership projects from inception to publication (e.g., consultant- authored reports, articles, blogs, infographics, etc.)

ABOUT YOU :

You understand how to spread messages online. You are passionate about communicating for global development on issues from malnutrition to climate change and are curious and willing to dig into new topics. You understand what makes things pop on social media, know how to write compelling copy for websites and are fluent in digital landscapes. You are motivated by the prospect of elevating the profile of a fast- growing organization. You are a committed self starter with an excellent academic record, a passion for development, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE :

Required :

- A bachelor's degree or higher

- 3 to 6 years of applicable past work experience

- Strong oral and written communication skills, including impeccable English grammar and editing skills

- Communications related knowledge and experience

- Passion for global issues such as economic development, public health, education, or environment

- Experience with digital campaigns or initiatives, include website management and social media

- Tech savviness and experience with systems such as Google Analytics, HTML and CMS platforms (e.g. Drupal)

- Professionalism, good judgment, and a can do attitude

- Excellent time and project management skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently under tight deadlines

- Ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner (written and verbal)

- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Comfort with basic quantitative analytics to support output and outcome tracking

- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in working at an international, fast-- growing company

- Sensitivity to the political and cultural environment of international public agencies or similarly complex environments

Preferred :

- Experience supporting or creating envelope pushing communications products or campaigns

- Experience living and working in different cultures

- Comfort with graphic design

- Familiarity with key issues and players in the development sector
