JOB DESCRIPTION :

Position : Head EHS (Sr Manager / DGM EHS)

Level:

Responsibility Level 2; Band B2 / C1

Location: NOIDA

Position Summary :

- To plan and develop a systematic and organized approach to following and complying with environmental and safety standards while promoting safe and healthy working processes and conditions. To drive employee involvement processes and continual improvement in shop floor standards in the above areas.

- To Drive Sustainability, Risk Identification & Mitigation, Compliance & ESG programs in the organization.

Functional Reporting : EHS Lead of all the Plants, Blend Centers, Coordinators of WHs

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, document and fully implement the EHS Management System, incorporating the Groups minimum requirements, across all entities of the Company

- To drive a culture of safety in the Organisation and develop and implement programmes which help in enforcing the same

- To ensure that all sites are updated with and adhering to State and National Safety and Environmental regulations

- To keep abreast of any changes in Legislature and Regulations that impact the Organisation and inform Management of the same

- To conduct regular site inspections to determine working conditions and work processes are within environmental, safety and health norms

- Conduct regular EHS Audits as per Indian and Japanese standards and ensure implementation of Audit recommendations

- Continuously work on existing EHS policies to review and recommend improvements

- Develop, plan and establish industry benchmark practices in EHS

- Assess potential environmental and safety risks and provide mitigation plans to reduce incidents

- Investigate incidents thoroughly on regular basis and participate in Root Cause Analysis

- To educate employees on EHS guidelines by developing engagement programmes around key factors of EHS

- Ensure that all sites have emergency preparedness and conduct audits on onsite mock drills

- Ensure that all sites are adhering to norms of PPE usage.

- Maintain EHS MIS and report to DIC Leadership team and DIC Group as and when required

- Liaise with external agencies in all matters of EHS

- Develop and implement Contractor safety management system

- Develop and maintain EHS budget (CAPEX & OPEX) for the Company; monitor expenses against target

- Develop an organisation structure that supports the departments goals and objectives

- Develop performance metrics for the department to measure performance

- Sustain & improve IMS Management System implementation across all sites.

- Develop and implement EHS Annual & 3 Years plan for DIC India.

- Responsible for all people related matters for his team; partners with HR for hiring needs; performance evaluation and developmental needs to ensure motivation and retention

Education background & experience required: Engineering Post-Graduate with Diploma is Safety & Fire Prevention, Preferred NEBOSH Diploma/ CSP Certified. Minimum 15 years of experience in Chemical, Pharma, Paint, FMCG & refineries etc.
