Job Description:

The role is responsible for formulating USL Health & Safety strategy, standards and guidelines and drive the implementation of the same across the organization with the objective of creating a zero harm environment in the organisation and providing support for compliance to applicable legislation pertaining to health and safety.

- Responsible for defining, reviewing and updating corporate Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards, guidelines and providing necessary technical support to ensure that all applicable standards are implemented across the organization and periodically monitor the progress

- Responsible for driving the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy, standards and policies in line with the statutory & regulatory requirements

- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislations pertaining to Safety, Health and Environment across the organization

- Develop and implement a framework for management of safety risks to enable the business to make informed decisions

- Drive and develop a EHS compliant culture in the organization.

Formulate the annual budget for EHS function and ensure adherence to the same through quarterly / monthly review. Formulate corrective action plans for deviations, if any

Drive effective EHS risk assessment and recommend mitigation initiatives and controls across the organization

- Conduct periodic meetings to discuss organization-wide EHS related issues, EHS awareness improvement programs and overall EHS function performance

- Liaison with concerned government authorities, chambers, organizations , consultants etc. and maintain professional relationship.

- Design and implement EHS training programs for all employees of the organization

- Develop the EHS communication strategy for the organization to ensure effective dissemination of information with respect to implementation of EHS norms, EHS issues, corrective measures taken etc.

Qualification: - B.E. with professional qualification in EHS.

Experience: - 12-15+ years of relevant experience

Knowledge of EHS Management in multiunit, multiplication organization
