Overall Role Purpose : To analyze multi facet information and design cost-effective, operationally feasible solution to meet customer requirements. Support operation in reengineering of current process / setup to sustain cost competitiveness.

Customer:

- Liaise with DHL customers and business development staff to understand customer supply chain requirements
- Provide analysis and design support in the pursuit of new business, operational implementations and re-engineering initiatives
- Collect and analyze data relating to logistics operations
- Determine optimal logistics operating solutions for customers
- Utilize appropriate software tools for developing, modeling, evaluating and selecting appropriate solution options
- Clearly outline solutions in appropriate formats for presentation to customers. Participate in customer presentations where required
- Manage consultancy projects as required
- Provide guidance to subordinates in complex solutions design - Countries objectives (budget) and results (EBIT)
- Renewals and new business won as a result of solutions team activities
- Customer and country satisfaction and feedback Process
- Part of the - Centre of Excellence in the Regional ILD by striving to be competent in specific Solutions Design and sector-specific skills/tools
- To gather data collection and verification of assigned project
- To discuss designed solutions with SD head, operation team and BD team before submission
- To generate and update documents for knowledge management based on individual experience of BD and projects completed.
- To innovate and improve in working practices facilitating to the development of the team methodology
- To promote the best practice with peer manner and team attitude. For example, development of resource planning, development of Knowledge Management
- To support a continuous improvement activities for current operations
- To act as the internal focal point for access to Logistics Solutions expertise
- To ensure that all recommended solutions, implementation plans, meet the requirements
- To provide general local administrative support to divisionally based business development and solutions team members
- To report on agreed format on monthly basis, information required for development team meetings
- Gain SD Head, Operational Head and BD team's buy-off as appropriate for the proposed solution
- Develop effective customer presentation of the appropriate solutions as part of the pursuit teams
- To develop a database of Property, MHE, Costs, and all other information used in developing Solutions - On-time responding to customers timeline

Role Profile /Skills / Qualifications :
Key capabilities / Competencies - Knowledge of warehousing, transportation and broader supply chain topics
- Strong Knowledge of the Logistics Business
- Advanced Computer Proficiency
- Understanding of modeling/simulation/CAD tools such as Paragon, CAPS, CAST, AutoCAD or CLASS is desirable.
- Know-how of process flow diagrams, time & motion studies

Expected years of experience (Minimum) -
- 8 to 10 years logistics solution design experience and/or 8 years logistics operations management in warehousing or transport
- Consulting experience (would be desirable)
Expected Educational :
Qualifications - Degree in relevant discipline (engineering degree preferred)
- Masters in relevant discipline
