Dhamma Capital - Investment Analyst - Public Markets - Buy Side

This is an incredible opportunity to join an investment firm in its initial stages, as a Founding team member. This is a full-time role for a thoughtful Investment Analyst/Associate/Principal to join Dhamma Capital's growing investment team. Dhamma is an institutional setup (FII + AIF) that seeks to invest in Indian Public Markets with a private equity mindset (www.dhammacapital.in). We are building an investment team that can strive for excellence in the art of investing. The role is primarily located in Mumbai and allows for some hybrid flexibility, if needed.

The new team member will be responsible for end-to-end investment research, initiating sector coverage, on the ground due diligence, establishing relationships with senior management and business stakeholders, idea generation, and managing portfolio risks.

Who is a suitable candidate?

Qualifications:

- Dhamma is open to evaluating candidates with 2-8 years of Investing / Due Diligence / other relevant experience. How do we define relevant experience? Buy side (public and private equity), Sell Side, Banking, Consulting, Research

- Candidates who are genuinely passionate about public markets!

- Financial modelling skills are good to have but not necessary; can be learned on the job

- No Degree pre requisites, open to all backgrounds if you check the above criteria

About the firm

Dhamma Capital is an independent investment firm based in Mumbai, that seeks to be a long-term owner (4-10yrs) of handful of exceptional public markets businesses in India. We will manage only long-duration capital for select family offices, institutions and UHNIs.

Prior to starting Dhamma, the founder has spent a decade in the investment management industry holding various positions at JP Morgan, Neuberger Berman, Malabar Investments, TCW Group, Amiral Gestion and Locus Investments. The founder holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and Bachelors in Mathematics & Computer Science from IIT.
