Job Location - Mundra, Gujarat

Work Experience-10+ years in TSD role with Chemical Manufacturing set up

Qualification - BE / Masters in Chemical Engineering

The main purpose of the position:-

Expertise in Process development, Process

Improvement and Project activities seeking challenging assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identification of opportunities for improvements in plants in terms of Quality, Raw material consumption and productivity and plan action for improvement of plant performance on a continuous basis.

- Exposure to Process design software like Hysys, Aspen plus, Visio, HTRI etc.

- Experience in technology transfer, de-bottlenecking of plants and Project implementation.

- Knowledge of SQC, Six Sigma , lean manufacturing will be added advantage.

- Prepare schemes for Improvement projects.

- Basic and Detail engineering study for the major projects undertaken which includes preparation of PFD & PID , Equipment list, plant layout, Data sheets etc.,

- Project implementation activities which will include coordination with engineering teams for piping, erection, commissioning and till successful performance run.

- Scale up of New products developed at Lab scale to Main plant which includes conducting and monitoring Pilot plant trials and establishing the Quality, yield and productivity.

- Creating cyclic benchmarks for all sites based on historical performance and derived scope of improvement.

- Continuous assessment of new technologies for improvement in present products.

- Constantly upgrading the quality of tech transfer documents from pilot to plant scale to improve speed and efficacy of process transfer.

- Improvement activities in the area of utilities and for unit cost reduction in effluent management and effluent quantity reduction.

- Setting standards for all solvent and byproducts recoveries.

- Technical support to outside contract manufacturing vendor.
