Reporting To:: Platform Leader (Systems, Server & Cloud)
Qualification: Computer Science, Social Science or Business - Degree & Masters and equivalent experience
Years of Exp:10-15 Years
Job Location: Gurgaon
The Key role & responsibility of the Lead Systems & Server Operations (India) is to lead the team of system engineers (Windows, UX & Cloud) for BaU Operations, implementation of technical solutions in response to new business requirements of customers, ensuring the solutions are in line with Service Line's Portfolio and in accordance with the Delivery Unit's strategy and standards. Responsibilities deal with troubleshooting of all assignments that are routine in nature. Works on more than one task at a time and manages work effectively by prioritizing own assignments, schedules, and meetings resulting in timely completion of work. Basic knowledge of principles, practices, standards, and procedures in one or more functions of the job. Relies on established procedures, criteria and rules, to plan and accomplish tasks.
Will be responsible for Managing a specialist group of L2 & L3 engineers and should be skilled to work on several Projects & initiatives related to Server, Storage, Virtualization and Cloud computing etc.
The job responsibility also includes:
Provide general and routine technical support to a broad range of installation, patching, configuration, and updates to Operating requiring the ability to research, analyze, and resolve problems effectively to meet established performance metrics. Maintain documented (e.g. Disaster Recovery) procedures for OS Infrastructure. Collaborates and contributes with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. Would require On-Call availability and working a 24 x 7 shift hours.
Must have a proven record of delivering business value from Information Technology at an executive level
Solid understanding of interoperability issues and the strengths and weaknesses of platforms and products, and able to provide a trusted voice at the decision-making table
Candidates must have a deep understanding of markets, industries, business, customers, and technology. Work experience should involve a mix of business and technology consulting across the Lifecycle of Information Technology (examples may include assessment and analysis, design, business case development, architecture, envisioning, planning, deployment, benefits analysis, and management)
The ability and background experience to provide leadership and a demonstrated effectiveness in consulting and client management Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
ESSENTIAL SKILLS :
Expert Knowledge of Windows 2008/2012 and Active Directory. (Min 8 yrs)
Expert Knowledge of MS System Center 2012, Vmware Virtualization Experience with Red Hat Linux, AIX, UNIX, Cloud would be an added advantage
Backup and Storage administration AV & Patch management
Familiarity with MS SQL
ITIL Process knowledge (Problem, Incident, Change Management) Team Manager experience

Organizational Change Management IT Governance
