Urgent position in one of the top diesel generator manufacturers in India
Position - DGM - Project Sales
Location - Hyderabad
Reports to: - EVP Projects (PowerGen) / COO
Offer CTC: - Negotable, depending upon current CTC, experience, Interview Status
Job Purpose:
Overall responsibility and accountability for Business Development for the PowerGen Project Vertical. Formulate strategies and plans to maximize the creation of opportunities to participate in Project Bids and Tenders by cultivating and managing relationships with Consultants, Agencies, and other potential customer contacts. Help in including and getting approval for designs and specifications in the bids and tenders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for Business Development activities the PowerGen Projects business vertical.
- Strategies and plan to maximize the creation of market opportunities to participate in Project Bids and Tenders.
- Cultivate, manage and grow long term relationships with Consultants, Agencies, and other key influencers to include for all Bids and Tenders.
- Support Sales Team in including and getting approval for designs and specifications in the bids and tenders.
- Ensure Coordination internally to respond to Pre-Bid queries and requirements within stipulated response timelines so as to ensure maximum favorable influence.
- Evaluate and update management regarding the challenges faced by the organization with respect to market conditions, competitor activities, and change in business trends to take action to mitigate the risks.
- Manage, coach, and develop direct reports (if any).
- Ensure strong communication with the Project Sales team members and management to facilitate the exchange of information and in order to effectively benefit from market opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- 10-15 years of demonstrated experience in Business Development activities for Project Sales and Tendering Business to large accounts in a B2B environment of a manufacturing-based company.
- Ability to engage, manage, and cultivate relationships with Consultants, Agencies, and Key Influencers in the industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
Experience:
- 8 - 12 years of experience in Business Development for Project Sales & Tendering to large accounts of a capital equipment product company operating in B2B environment.
Function/Technical Skills - MS Office and Hands-on working experience on SAP environment
Education: Engineering graduate / Post-graduation degree/diploma in Management
