This is with regard to the role of the In-house Divisions Head for a reputed Garment company. Tirupur, Tamil Nadu.

Job Description:

Role- In-house Divisions Head Department (Ancillary Units)

Grade- DGM

Education- Graduation / Post Graduation - Textile Technology

Location- Tirupur

Experience 15 plus years of experience in production and manufacturing - Garment Production

Role Summary :

Driving all manufacturing and execution functions and accountable for quality metrics to track business needs and lead diverse projects.

Role Responsibilities:

Driving the operational process, productivity, efficiency, and bottom-line improvements of the following multisite own manufacturing units,

Productivity Improvement:

Oversee all the production operations of the in-house ancillary support divisions which include planning, monitoring day-to-day operations, target fixation, identifying bottlenecks, and triggering corrective actions for the same.

Identifying areas of improvement and extending measures towards enhancing the same.

Developing a tactical plan to promote revenue, profitability, and growth of the respective units.

Steering operational measures towards ensuring a smooth flow of operations while complying with stipulated norms.

Ensuring achievement of production targets for the unit within the cost, time & quality norms.

Arranging necessary infrastructure involving assessing capital equipment and other raw material requirements and ensuring optimum inventory control at all stages.

Devising plans, conceptualizing & implementing systems & operating procedures to optimize resource/ capacity utilization in production operations.

Industrial Engineering:-Studying the overall production process with a view to finalizing the best methods & processes. Ensure method improvements in all the production processes and implement strict measures in operating procedures to optimize resource capacity utilization.

Quality Improvement :

Ensuring adherence to various quality measures by the maintenance of appropriate requisite documentation/records

Establishing quality standards, and implementing stringent quality control systems from raw material to finished garment.

Work closely with plant and quality assurance personnel to review product quality consistency while monitoring yield rates and wastage to determine trends and areas of improvement.

Cost Optimization :

Providing manufacturing expertise to the production team and ensuring implementation of cost reduction/efficiency improvement through process changes/improvements.

Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.

Checking and observing manpower planning & costing of work units and persistent in decreasing the costs.

Bringing down equipment breakdown, wastage control, and achieving annual cost savings.

Delivery related improvement:

Ensure proper upkeep of the manufacturing facility to achieve machine availability, and efficiency utilization norms to meet the delivery targets.

Remove production constraints, allocate human and equipment resources, and direct subordinates to attain all established on-time deliveries.

Safety improvement :

Adherence to the industrial safety standards to ensure all employees are aware of safety policies & procedures to provide a safe workplace for our employees.

Promote the proactive reporting of workplace hazards identified during the course of work to the appropriate person following standard operating procedures.

Morale improvement :

Observing employees' welfare activities along with identifying employee needs with the help of the HR & Compliance team and ensuring that they are adhered to.

Build the team, set performance expectations, evaluate performance, and motivate the team to meet and exceed performance expectations.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports To VP Manufacturing Supervises Factory Head / Production Managers/ Industrial Engineers/ Quality Charge
