DGM - Internal Audit Role - IT AUDIT Mandatory Knowledge - IT controls & SAP Certification - CISA Educational Qualifications & Certifications: - CA or Engineer with at least one professional certification, such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Information System Auditor., Industry - preferably from one of the Big 4 / Consulting Firms - To independently carry out financial, commercial as well as operations audits mainly in the areas of Refining & Marketing. - To provide guidance and support to the junior members of the IA team and review their work wrt data and audit evidence and train and mentor them with the overall responsibility of improving their knowledge and performance. ACCOUNTABILITY : Internal Audit Pan : - Assisting in the development of the annual Internal Audit plan. Scope and Review : - Conduct risk and internal controls assessments of assigned area in required timeline; - Determine scope of review in conjunction with the Head of Operational audit; - Review the suitability of internal control design, identify and suggest improvements to weaknesses; - Conduct interactions with various levels of management within the company in the course of conducting various audit assignments 1. Drafting and providing advisory support - Providing support and information to the operating divisions on financial and operational controls and risks management topics; - Assisting in drafting of reports and presentations to the Audit Committee - Working with professional advisors to develop best practice guidance for the Company on key risk areas - Thorough understanding of business risks, ability to grasp the changing organisational priorities and translate it into an assurance plan - Ability to communicate and present well (report writing skills and presentations) - The ability to perform the role of being a trusted business advisor - Assessment of key risks and audit focus areas - Ability to segregate key audit findings - Identify changes to the risk profile and consider its impact on the assurance map - Ensure that all audit work is executed as planned, key bottlenecks are addressed, report closures are timely and appropriate resolutions reached in terms of audit recommendations - Discuss and secure the buy in of process owners to important audit recommendations - Findings that warrant further discussions at MAC/ AC - Identify process gaps / weaknesses including SOP non-compliances - Matters of a serious nature that require escalation to the Head of Internal Audit - Provide regular updates on audit plan execution and audit quality reviews A. Internal Interactions: - All levels of Management - All resources within the IA team. B. External Interactions: - With various stake holders from other businesses within Group where required - External members in professional trainings, seminars etc. A. Financial Dimensions: - This being an advisory function it does not have its own financial dimensions except for the fact that the department has to operate within the sanctioned budget. - Timelines and number of reports as well as areas covered are more important and are the critical measures along with the quality of work performed. A. Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience: - 10-12 years of relevant work experience post qualification. - Functional Skills: - Industry background in Oil & Gas will be an advantage - Good grasp of accounting and commercial issues. - Good head for numbers, communication - Strong background in the areas of SOPs and good insight of various commercial processes - Strong verbal and communication skills. - Good understanding about international internal control standards & guidelines such as COSO. - Understanding refinery production planning, procurement, inventory management, material balance, expense analyses, counterparty screening, retail operations - At least one professional certification, such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Information System Auditor - Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of data analytic software such as ACL is plus. Ability to gather data from IT system for further analysis. B.
