Job Description:

Designation- DGM- Insurance Vertical

Role- Vertical Lead-FS Insurance

Location- Chennai

Years of Exp- 10-15 years

Qualifications- MBA/Masters in Econometrics/Statistics/Mathematics/Engineering/Operations/Research

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Solution and deliver financial services ( non banking ) /insurance analytics offerings as appropriate

- Manage financial services ( non banking ) /insurance projects from Solutioning to delivery.

Responsibilities includes:

1. Day to day administrative responsibility of the team members in projects

2. Providing technical advisory to ongoing analytics projects

3. Remote Client Management

4. Providing support to Practice Management & Pre-Sales using material generated out of on-going projects, and

5. Support knowledge management across the analytics organization

6. Provide functional training to all analytics professionals in the organization (Project Managers, Data Miners, Data Analysts, Business Consultants)

7. Participate in client/internal verticals in financial services/insurance discussions for analytics business development

8. Drive operational excellence in FS/Insurance projects from execution point of view

9. Provide thought leadership

SKILLS REQUIRED :

- Used or applied analytics in business

- Supported business decision making in the industry

- Domain knowledge of FS/insurance industry and current market conditions

- Managed teams in delivering analytics/consulting

- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate a point of view up and down the line

Nice to have skills

- Reasonable understanding of tools/ technologies used in analytics

Other skill sets

- Strong analytical/ programming skills (job function doesn’t require programming but requires skill to advice team members on programming)

- Strong documentation/presentation skill to perform successful mentoring to junior team members

- Ability to make disciplined decisions

- Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship building skills

- Flexible and adaptable to change and ability to multitask

- Strategic orientation to provide leadership and mentoring is absolute necessary

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :

- Knowledge of the global financial services/insurance industry and emerging trends

- Minimum 10 years of work experience in using data/analytics in Industry or As a consultant or As a member of an analytics organization in similar domains

- Proven track record of managing teams across locations and delivering to plan
