DGM-Data Protection,Legal,Regulatory and compliance

- The incumbent is a key member of the Legal team and is responsible for assisting the General Counsel in Implementation and Compliance with Privacy Principles, address Regulatory compliance and LCA operational matter

- The incumbent will be directly accountable for matters pertaining to Regulatory, OSP/DOT/Network related regulatory matters pertaining to Domestic & International Operations, Technology, Fin Ops, Enterprise, HR SSC verticals, support in closing HR Disciplinary Proceedings, Breach of InfoSec Policy, POSH complaints etc. In order to achieve these objectives, the incumbent should proactively engage with the stakeholders across the business.

- The incumbent is also expected to assist the General Counsel and develop innovative and effective regulatory Risk mitigation strategies and solutions in accordance with business requirements which will support any new system or functional requirement within the Regulatory Framework. To ascertain the magnitude of the Regulatory Risks in terms of monetary, reputation, liability/losses to the organization/clients.

- Assisting the General Counsel in spearheading the OSP inspections across the company and ensuring closure without adverse remarks from authorities and effective coordination & compliance of necessary technical and financial aspects of Application of OSP License as per Business Requirements across. To achieve this mandate, liaising with Department of Telecommunication Authorities and also effectively monitoring Regulatory and Statutory compliances.

- The incumbent will be directly accountable to the General Counsel for ensuring Audit Effectiveness for a. Group internal audit and British Standard (BS) certifications.

- The incumbent is also expected to provide advisory support on corporate law, contracts law, information technology laws, intellectual property rights, real estate laws etc. under the supervision of the General Counsel.

- The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting the General Counsel in setting up policies and procedures in the provision of support to clients consistent with contractual obligations

- The incumbent is also expected to actively collaborate with the other team members of the General Counsel in the Legal team and provide assistance in formulating, drafting and implementing policies associated with their respective areas of excellence.

- The incumbent is also expected to work closely with the General Counsel and build an effective Incident reporting management system.

- The incumbent will also be responsible for building a mechanism for ensuring there are no Data Leaks at policy level as well as at management level

- The incumbent will also drive the Implementation of 5S Privacy & Security Principles.

- Ensuring Awareness of Data Protection and Privacy principles across verticals

Key Accountabilities:

Assist the General Counsel in :

- Building strong preventive mechanism/guidelines to ensure there no data leaks especially from IT and HR Departments

- Driving Awareness Programs to ensure completeness in information dissemination among all employees

- Completion and implementation of the collection of PI in PI Inventory including updating the same from all relevant business verticals.

- Building structured reporting mechanism to ensure employees can report privacy incidents including the SPOCs from business verticals, and advise amendments to functional policies advanced knowledge of an organisation, infrastructure, processes and strong experience of managing cross-functional teams.

- Review and update PRM System, Records Management & Retention Policy, Privacy Law Enforcement Assistance Document, and Vendor Evaluation Reports.

- Managing and Ensuring closure of DOT/OSP Inspections without major non-compliance or adverse observation/penalty.

- Quality & Speed of Regulatory Advice on business operational matters

- Efficiency and Effectiveness of the implementation of Regulatory framework mechanism, Regulatory Control & Compliance mechanism
