Group CIO - RCA Technology - AFC : Within Deutsche Bank's Group CIO Division sits the Compliance and Regulation Technology group, which is responsible for the provision of technology for the Regulation, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) group. The Regulation, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) group protect the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. They manage the Bank's risks and help to avoid unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest. At the same time, they also advise us on ethical conduct and governance issues and keep our organization up-to-date on regulatory and political challenges. We as the RCA Technology group provide technical solutions mainly with the purpose of the detection and prevention of potentially criminal or inappropriate activity by our clients, employees and vendors, including the provision of solutions for Market Abuse Surveillance, Transaction Monitoring, Client Screening & Risk Rating, Employee & Communication Surveillance, Sanctions Screening, External Fraud, Regulatory Interaction, Data Analytics / Holistic Surveillance, Case Management and MIS This division needs to monitor various functions on the independent basis for the bank globally; hence, we deal with huge volumes on daily basis. We are infusing the latest technology over a period of time including Big Data, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Sentiment and Semantic Analysis, etc. to build state of the art Surveillance systems for the bank. Applications around these are already in place and enhanced or being built. The successful candidate will be responsible for using our Data Analytics Platform capabilities for creating predictive analytics models to secure our business. They will be experienced in the field of Big Data development and administration, be able to design and build Hadoop based data ingestion services, as well as data management and non-functional integrations. Business Aligned Data Analytic Team : - This role will lead the data analytics scrum team comprising of analysts and engineers as a data scientist, for the RCA Tech AFC area. - The team will be responsible for researching new solutions and implementing optimal technical solutions for the various business problems in the data analytics area. Role Summary : The Technology Manager is responsible for day-to-day leadership of team work efforts and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing support as needed in the transference of business requirements into technical solutions. The Technical Specialist Manager provides support as needed with Level 3 operational support for incidents and problem/root-cause analysis and act as an escalation point for the team. Role Responsibilities Managerial : - Ensures convergence with programme & business vision. - Ensures technical requirements support the business strategy. - Builds consensus amongst key stakeholders for a common set of requirements. - Interfaces with internal/external providers to ensure successful development, testing and implementation of change. - Communicates the new technology in common nomenclature for technical & non-technical audiences. - Ensures migration planning to target state technology. Software Definition/Specification : - Completes and elaborates technical software design (high level design) in accordance with solution designed by solution architect and documentation of the same. - Defines the integration strategy (including rationale), integration environment requirements, and determines the product-component integration sequence. - Identifies the list of software product components which need to be integrated. - Identifies dependencies between software product components, between technical components (such as database tables and master data files), and between applications and interfaces. - Assesses and identifies mitigation for risks including those related to high level design, integration, and quality of data. - Identifies the product integration verifications to be performed based on the integration sequence and relevant dependencies. - Determines the impact on test or production environment (if any). - Oversees database & technical infrastructure. - Oversees available technologies and utilities. - Specifies/selects tools to enhance development process. - Contributes to the definition of development and SW standards to implement/reflect the db guidelines (naming conventions, encryption, security settings) and ensure standards are being adhered to. - Ensures that architectural changes (as defined by architects) are being implemented. - Evaluates new products incl. prototyping (potentially on behalf of architects) - makes recommendations of new products. - Level 3 support for technical infrastructure components (databases, middleware, user interface). Contributes to problem and root cause analysis. Specific to the Data Analytics area : - Expertise in Data Analytics/Software development and engineering. - Solid understanding in statistical modelling (regression, sampling, MLE, etc.) and packages (e.g. SPSS) - Proficient with utilizing statistical learning algorithms from open source software. - Should be able to write own code as needed to customize solutions. - Comfortable getting and preparing data; this includes using NoSQL / SQL as well as dealing with unstructured data that might require calling APIs, or writing custom scripts. - Collaborate with central Infrastructure teams who are running Servers and engineer Tools for Big Data Technologies with the Chief Data Office (CDO). - Choose appropriate tools for different use-cases from what is the strategic toolset in Deutsche Bank - Support and advice on latest tools in the industry. - Expertise and experience in the following areas, analytics tools, techniques - Programing in R, Python, NoSQL / SQL and Java - Data mining - Data cleaning and Data Wrangling - Data analytics - Data visualization and reporting techniques - Working knowledge of Hadoop - Machine learning techniques - Data Structure & Algorithms - Link Analysis - Semantic Text analytics / Text Mining - Graph database - Predictive or stochastic models - Machine learning - Preferable development experience in Cloudera DSW, Datameer, Pentaho, Paxata, Hue, SAS, Zeppelin, Tableau, SAS, Hbase, Spark, Rapid Miner, Unravel, Hive, Toad for Hadoop and MapReduce Education/Certification Master of Science degree (or Higher PhD. Preferred) from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Mathematics or Statistics - with a minor in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent).
