Position Description :

Overview :

The role is to perform a number of key functions that support and control the business in complying with a number regulatory requirements such as Markets in Financial Directive - MiFID II- . This role forms part of a team within Birmingham that supports the Global Trade Services business across all asset classes: Rates, Credit, Commodities, Equities and Foreign Exchange. Key responsibilities include day to day excpetion management MIS Compilation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

- You will need to balance strong communication, time management, workload prioritization and risk awareness.

- You will be expected to work with and develop the team and support the enhancement of RCP Operations team reputation globally.

- You will have- face off to senior line management in addition to line and corporate control functions. You will also have the- opportunity to deepen your process understanding of various Global Technology and Operations (GTO) Debt products.

Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

Key Responsibilities :

- Understanding and defining the Transaction Reporting logic which exist front to back, and how new rules and regulations impact operations

- Maintain our reporting integrity and compliance with the regulations by highlighting any gaps or errors in the systems or trade logic and actively look to improve/develop them further

- Providing a key contact point for related queries related to the project that may arise from both internal or external sources

- Support the design and conceptualization of new business solution options and articulates identified impacts and risks

- Designing tactical solutions to issues where strategic options are not available

- Performing and/or managing various exception management functions across reporting for all asset classes, across multiple jurisdictions

- Ensure accurate, timely and completeness of reporting

- Perform root cause analysis or exceptions with investigation & appropriate escalation of any significant issues found through testing, rejection remediation or any other stream to senior management to ensure transparency exists in our controls

- Central point of contact for internal and external clients

- Project remediation tasks including participating and hosting in daily conference calls which include working groups and business updates globally

- Working closely with our technology development teams to design system solutions, the aim to automate as much of the exceptions process as possible

- Managing the issue resolution projects to ensure accurate & timely delivery

- Drafting and amending project support documents such as business requirements documents, functional specification documents, support operating models and test plans

- Drive and lead a team culture of high performance, ownership, integrity and passion to deliver against the Bank's strategic targets

- Lead and be role model for the RTB function and the resource within the team

- Create and deliver personal development plans and maximise staff effectiveness and satisfaction Primary Working Relationships & Stakeholders

- TR RTB/CTB Teams - Jacksonville, Birmingham, Jaipur & Bangalore

Experience / Requirement :

- Experience in Business Analysis and Financial Services

- A solid and robust control orientated background

- Experienced knowledge of business analysis methods and tools

- An analytical/logical mindset with a good approach to problem solving

Essential :

- Capable of working under pressure, understanding complex business specifications as well as data requirements and working to tight deadlines whilst managing stakeholder expectations

- Ability to work in virtual teams and matrixed organizations, often across multiple business cultures and organisational disciplines

- Maturity and persuasiveness to engage in business dialogue and support stakeholders

- Highly proficient communications skills

Preferred :

- Ability to manipulate and work with large volumes of data

- Self starter with the ability to work well both in a team and individually

- Ability to effectively maintain, coordinate, prioritize multiple tasks and projects

- Evidence of working with an agile methodology in a fast paced environment

- Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to wider team members and management

- Experience in identifying, documenting & presenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems;

- Demonstrate effective decision making capability and leadership /influencing qualities

- Experience in stakeholder management and building excellent professional relationships;

- A flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to multi-task within a dynamic environment;

- Skilled use of all Microsoft products skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio etc)

- Strong product knowledge with experience of within one or more of the Equities businesses and

their systems being highly desirable (businesses include Cash Equity, GED, Synthetic Equity, PB or Stock Loan)

Education/ Qualifications :

- Graduate or Post Graduate in Finance

- Preferable experience in Middle Office/Back Office, Reference Data and excellent in Trade Life Cycle (Atleast 2 asset Classes - Equities, Credits, Rates, Foreign Exchange, Commodities)
