Design Project Lead - Jewellery Business (8-13 yrs)
1. Scope of the role:
Taking care of creation of designs and proto development of design collections( design creation, pdis making, cad to final proto development), mentoring small team of designers, creating and developing designs for design collections according to the Design calendar & requirements, Proposing design stories and ideas, Research work and Design trend forecasts, traveling for product development and company events, coordination with all teams like factory, vendors, brand team etc,
2. Job Profile:
- Understanding the brand's design-aesthetic - help build differentiated product Designs (segment and price-specific range, collections, etc.,)
- Creating and developing designs for design collections according to the Design calendar & requirements.
- Mentoring a team of designers and Taking care of creation of designs and proto development of design collections ( design creation, pdis making, cad to final proto development, coordinating with vendors)
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of product trends and customer requirements(Research work and Design trend forecasts)
- Coordinate with Vendors/Stores/Factory/ for development of the products and their smooth delivery
- Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and maximization of opportunity
- Coordinating with Marketing, Merchandising, Retail and Consumer to build relevant products.
3. Key Deliverables:
- Creating and developing designs for design collections according to the Design calendar & requirements.
- Mentoring a team of designers and Taking care of creation of designs and proto development ( design creation, pdis making, cad to final proto development, coordinating with vendors)
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of product trends and customer requirements(Research work and Design trend forecasts)
- Coordinate with Vendors/Stores/Factory/ for development of the products and their smooth delivery
- Coordinating with Marketing, Merchandising, Retail and Consumer to build relevant products.
4. The right person:
- Graduate / Post Graduate from NIFT/NID or relevant Institutes.
- 8-12 years' experience minimum in the areas of jewellery Design, Manufacturing & New product development
- Able to interact with several teams and take holders
- Confidently and understand their requirements
- Able to travel across vendor locations and company locations at short notice.
- Innovative: Develop new insights, able to convert market trends into Designs and products
- Ownership: Aware of current and future trends in the jewellery market and creating innovative designs with high GC products.
- Drive for Results: Hands on approach, to be proactive.
- Interpersonal Effectiveness: Understands the business requirements, has long term perspective, involves and engages others, mentors a team of designers effectively, respects value of individual contribution of various stakeholders including vendor partners.
- Customer Focus: Able to anticipate internal and external customer needs.
- Dealing with Ambiguity: Ability to synthesizing knowledge from various sources, and constantly updates the knowledge base.
