Deputy Vice President - Data Architect

Position based with a large Private Bank in Gurgaon.

Job Role :

- The person would be integral part of Discussion Science unit and would act as owner of the MIS/Report/database within the bank. S/he would need to structure complex database systems and designing/developing MIS/Reports which can help bring insights to given business problem/situation.

- S/He should have expertise in analyzing large data sets, data warehousing and mining techniques. Also should have skills in unstructured data analysis and machine learning techniques. Specifically, S/ he will be expected to perform the following roles:

- Designing Reports/MIS

- Setting up data design for structure/unstructured database

- Performing data integration, manipulation, and querying for purposes of reporting

- Create cubes/structure which can help bring insights on pre defined business problems

- Structure MIS/Report on specific business KPIs.

- Act as owner of data base with in-depth understanding of all files and fields.

- Ability to interact with Business heads/Product heads to understand there requirement and translate that into Report/MIS.

- Should be able to understand the business requirements and marry it with data structure.

- Ability to design user friendly visualization with drill capabilities.

- Though leader with management on designing the right KPI for the specific initiative.

- Provide guidance and leadership to teams on data architecture/design.

- Manage and mentor team of 6-8 senior analysts/data analysts

- Provide data mining and analytical support on projects, including conducting analysis, building data intensive models/tools, summarize and interpreting results

- Actively participate in building team's strategy on knowledge and capability development. Explores wider horizons both internally and externally to expand the service offerings of the team

- Data Visualization capabilities is a must.

- Strong programming skills in SQL Server, SAS, MS Access, VBA

- Strong knowledge of visualization skills such as Power BI, SAS VA, Tableau etc

- Knowledge of unstructured/non relational data. Has deep knowledge of Hadoop, PIG, HIVE.

- Experience in data manipulation and handling large datasets; Data extraction, data transformation (standardization, cleaning, data repair, matching, and de-duping) and refinement

- Experience in working with relational databases; ability to identify needed data elements to support reporting requests

- Post-graduate OR Graduate degree in Computer Applications/Engineering/Mathematics/Commerce

- 12-15 years experience in working with programming MIS/Reporting/Visualization/Data Management.

- Knowledge of banking is desirable but not must.

- Hand on experience of managing structure & unstructured data

- Team management and mentoring skills
