Role Requirement : Qualifications & Experience : - Must have Master Degree (M. Tech / MSc in relevant engineering / management subject (Additional points for Ph.D); - 20+ years' experience, with minimum 10 years' experience in senior role in water resources management projects, including IFI-funded projects. Key Deliverables - Team leadership - Technical leadership, especially in fields of hydrology, IWRM, water resources development - Report writing - Engagement with all IAs and World Bank - Capacity building - Project management, and M&E reporting - Coordination with IAs, including NPMU - Management of MIS/FRS support - Routine reporting - Stakeholder engagement Detailed : - Team leadership & Technical leadership especially in fields of hydrology, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), water resources development, to technical divisions; hydrology data center and knowledge centers - Engagement with World Bank and all other national and state level Implementing Agencies; MOWR, RD&GR, other central agencies, River basin Organisations, state/UT agencies dealing with surface and ground water development and management - Provide leadership for overall project planning, Implementation gap analysis and bottleneck removal, management & coordination, financial and procurement management, technical development, monitoring safeguards compliance, training & capacity building. - Monitoring and evaluation including operation of a management Information System, and regular progress reporting to World Bank; and communication and outreach. - Report writing - Project management and Monitoring & Evaluation reporting - Technical advice and support for all the activities of the project including identification and deployment of hydro-meteorological equipment, IT hardware and software, SCADA system for irrigation, IWRM, hydrological modelling, reservoir management surface water and ground water interaction and assessment - Management of MIS/FRS support - Routine reporting of information required by concerned Stakeholder
