Job Description:
As the Sales and Marketing Manager in the building materials industry, your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including distributor management, sales target achievement, marketing initiatives, business development, and customer service.
Key aspects of your role include:
Distribution Network Management:
- Identify and manage existing distributors, wholesalers, and direct dealers in the region while actively seeking opportunities for expansion to fill gaps in the distribution network.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve primary and secondary sales targets, ensuring a balance between the two to maximize revenue generation and market penetration.
Scheme Management and Targets:
- Manage primary and secondary sales schemes, setting and monitoring quantity and value targets brand-wise to drive sales performance.
Product Knowledge and Pricing:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of product quality, unique selling points (USPs), pricing structures, and discount schemes to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
Payment Terms and Financial Management:
- Understand payment terms (credit/cash) and ensure the security of funds while managing financial transactions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Below-the-Line (BTL) Activities:
- Plan and execute various BTL activities such as in-shop promotions, wall/shutter painting, flex displays, dealer certificates, point-of-purchase (POP) displays, and gifts to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
Dealer Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Organize dealer meets and plant visits to foster stronger relationships, address concerns, and provide product training and support.
- Collaborate with influencers such as architects, interior designers, contractors, carpenters, and builders to build brand advocacy and generate leads.
Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Demonstrate a proactive "go-to-market" attitude to achieve sales targets, leveraging market insights, competitor analysis, and strategic planning.
- Your success in this role hinges on your ability to effectively manage distribution channels, drive sales growth, and cultivate strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key stakeholders in the building materials industry.
