Deputy Manager - R&D - EDU - Battery (5-10 yrs)

Job purpose:

To design & development of a suitable lithium ion battery pack for e-bike, 2W through supplier & inhouse.

Roles & responsibilities:

1. Li+ chemistry, type, cell make selection using suitable software, real time modules

2. Designing of a Battery Pack Architecture

3. Conducting training programs for internal teams on Battery pack & its technology for newly developed battery

4. Designing of a BMS/PCM Architecture

5. Type Approval, Development trials testing coordination for CL, VL

6. Designing of a cell balancing Architecture

7. Designing of a safety & power circuit system for module, pack level

8. Preparing of DFMEA document for CL, VL on battery packs. Review of RPN, Severity, Occurrence & the cases consider in design by supplier

9. Support for process/ME team to implement the battery testing lines for internal/suppliers

10. Designing of suitable DG packing for domestic & International movement

11. Co-ordination & implementation of Battery Waste management through suitable agencies & internal teams

Functional competencies Personality traits

- PCM/BMS/BMP understanding

- OTP/smart based configuration understanding

- Li-ion cell conventional/Advanced chemistry understanding

- Selection of suitable cells

- Design of light Lion Battery pack in range of 200 Wh to higher Wh (~2kWh)

- Design of BMS Architecture using various techniques, real time modelling

- Preferred exposure to DVP for battery packs

- Design of battery cells architecture

- Worked in 2w industry for battery packs

- Design & system built knowledge of CAN, UART based communication
