Deputy Manager/Manager - Strategic Initiatives - Manufacturing (2-3 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
Business strategy : New market/segments/products evaluation, opportunity sizing, business landscaping.
a. Business Plans : opportunity evaluation, manufacturing strategy, channel evaluation, NPV, IRR calculations
b. Customer : QFD /Voice of Customer/Pain Points/Need Gaps analysis leading to New product development
New product development : Business Case / Pricing/End to end coordination/Timely Delivery /Field Evaluation & Testing/Benchmarking/
a. Application: Tyre to Machine / underfoot /end usage.
b. Commercials: Pricing/ Margin/ Product Viability/ business case.
c. Competitive : Intelligence/ mapping/ Bench Marks
d. Internal Communication : Regions/ Field Queries /support/ CFT
Project Management: End to end delivery of the product
a. Responsible for on time delivery and budget for the product under development
b. Seek constant cross functional support and push functional teams for on time delivery of the product
c. Highlight bottlenecks and possible failure modes to the senior leadership to seek support at the right time
Market Intelligence : Knowledge/ Intelligence-availability/Landscape, Research/After & OE/Trends/Channel Study
a. Marketing Plans : Product positioning viz-a-viz competition/ channel identification/Pricing for different markets/Promotion.
b. Customer : QFD /VOC/Pain Points Need/Need Gaps analysis leading to NPD
Portfolio Management :
a. Product : Knowledge (center of excellence)-Tech Spec / CFT effort/Homologation. Positioning/ Profitability/ Brands/ Optimize/ Rationalization.
b. Sales Growth : Increase sales for the product line by identifying gaps in different geographies/ improve or modify product to fit in other markets/
Sales & Marcomm Support :
a. Sales Support : Analysis/Trends/Sales Pitches /Post Release Sales Performance/ Penetration / Field Queries Management, Regional spread
- Should be well versed with managing cross functional efforts supporting Product teams.
- Drive and coordinate with cross functional teams and plant on day-to-day basis in facilitating market needs of the product.

Candidate Profile :
Education : BE/ B.Tech and MBA
Candidates from NITIE, IIT Bombay, SP Jain, MDI, IMT would be preferred.
Experience : 0-2 years of experience in business strategy and planning/Product strategy/Project management in manufacturing set up/Product development.
