Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager - Sales & Marketing - Mining Firm (2-5 yrs)
Title : Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager - Sales & Marketing
Qualification : B.E Metallurgy or Mechanical from IIT / NIT / Government College
Experience : 2 to 5 years in Sales & Marketing

Sales :
- Target : Meet sales volumes against Business Plan, and as per Monthly Plan
- Contribution : Maintain product-mix with a focus on contribution and competitive advantage
- Order Management : Order booking in line with capacity allocation; periodic order book cleaning
- Forecast : Demand forecast based on customer information, and monitoring of forecast accuracy against order book
Collection :
- Target : Meet collection plan with strict adherence to timeline; pre-empt high age debtors
- Exposure : Monitor exposure to various segments / customers, and control sales to pre-empt delay/default of payments; ensure periodic accounts reconciliation
- Instruments : Implement & monitor credit instruments (LC, BG, BE, RP etc) to minimize credit risk
- Documentation : Ensure correct, complete and on-time documentation (including Forms C, F & ARE, Credit Notes, Debit Notes, Supplementary Invoices)
Settlement : Ensure timely commercial settlements of Quality Complaints, Weight differences, Pricing/Taxartion Errors (if any)
Inventory :
- Production Control : Minimize inventory by controlling production orders; strictly in-line with sales plan (produce only what is saleable)
- Liquidation : Utilize slow/non-moving inventory; monitor generation of left-overs and ensure liquidation
Business Intelligence :
- Customer Information collection and reporting regarding production plans, new launches, technological changes, current suppliers, imports substitution etc
- Competitor Information collection and reporting regarding price trends, sales trends, target segments, expansion plans / upgrades, advantages/disadvantages
- Development Target OEMs for development of new grades / acquiring business in other grades; target approvals in various industry segments; update Sr Management about the need to upgrade in line with market requirement, or from strategic point of view
Systems & Processes - Others
- ERPBe conversant with the ERP functionality, IT systems and reports
- SOPs Strict adherence to departmental SOPs for sales, quality, and documentation
- AuditEnsure compliance of marketing activities for External Audit
- Inter-department coordination - Production (Plant and PPC)
- Quality (HSL QAD and KSL QAD)
- Finance & Accounts
