Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager - Actuarial Science - Life Insurance (3 - 7 yrs)

A leadership role that involves coordinating team operations for successful completion of projects, liaising extensively with Actuarial experts and other senior team members.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

- Undertaking numerical analysis and manipulation using a range of systems and actuarial tools.

- Preparing and documenting simple computer programmes and models to clearly defined requirements.

- Supporting a range of management reports and returns.

- Responding to straightforward technical queries.

- Providing support and guidance to more junior members of the team in a range of project work as and when required.

- Seeking and acting on opportunities to develop wider and deeper technical and business understanding.

- Taking care of Compliances, Monitoring business, Financial Controls, Performance management and Supervising.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE :

- Minimum 9 Papers for Assistant Manager and Minimum 11 papers for Deputy Manager is mandatory

- Hands on Experience with Prophet should be there.

- Ability to confidently express own viewpoint and to clearly and simply communicate actuarial issues within their team.

- Ability to develop clear, workable plans for self; monitor progress; ensure deadlines and commitments are met.

- Ability to think through issues at hand (People / Technical) and propose line of action, solution and way forward.

- Ability to review existing processes within the team and propose structured and executable process improvement initiatives.
