Deputy General Manager - Process Improvement Projects - Media (12-20 yrs)
1) Ideal candidate will have expertise in - Process Excellence, Process Re-design, Business Process Re-Engineering, Process Transformation, Change Management, Change Implementation, Process Improvements, Process Bench-marking, Transformation Strategies, Process efficiencies, Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
(2) Would have evolved from a Process Design consultant role & currently at a senior level heading initiatives that involve the above.
(3) Ideal Domains (not mandatory) - Auto Industry, Manufacturing Industry or other large Industries where the impact of the initiatives result in effective cost reduction & process efficiencies.
(4) Quality - Good understanding of Six Sigma, LEAN, BB quality methodologies.
(5) Education - A good Pedigree is essential for this role
Key Performance Area
1: Project Coordinator: x-functional cost excellence program:
- Work closely with Project Leader to identify and support the implementation of projects to reduce cost, improve process efficiency and increase organizational productivity resulting in significant business upside
- Help develop a robust projects pipeline in close coordination with various functions to contain costs and negate inflationary trends
- Analyse macroeconomic trends, competitive information, and internal data to distill relevant insights to drive decision making
- Liaison with finance and functional champions to formulate monitoring templates for tracking project milestones and gauging the financial impact of projects undertaken
- Provide management with status updates and reporting on projects progress on a monthly basis
- Serve as a change agent to drive a culture of cost consciousness in the organization
Key Performance Area 2:
Project Coordinator: x-functional internal process improvement program:
- Support Project Leader in engaging with various functions to identify levers to ensure delivery of newspapers to the reader by 6:30 am on a consistent basis
- Conduct market analysis and bench-marking to adopt/evolve best practices
- Set up processes to capture, analyze and assimilate information through management dashboards
- Provide management monthly progress reports/presentations
Education and Experience:
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Management with 12+ years experience as part of large-scale cost excellence/process optimization/business excellence programs. A good Pedigree of education is highly desired.
- Proficiency in various Process Improvement frameworks i.e. Lean Six Sigma etc.
- Experience in the media industry is not essential, though preferred
- Good imagination and problem-solving attitude
- Reports to - VP Supply Chain
