Deputy General Manager - Networking Operations - IT

Key Responsibilities :

- Projects are carried out independently and new ideas are proposed and implemented for cost reduction and application or infrastructure enhancements.

- Ensure stable and reliable ISP network services (e.g. access products, service networks and core network).

- Day-to-day network performance monitoring.

- Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair.

- Trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations.

- Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools.

- Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes.

- Installation of network hardware and software.

- Manage 24x7 support.

Candidate Profile

- Experience of working on Network Infrastructure in an Enterprise environment, a large NOC or other such company associated with networking.

- Thorough understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP (IPv4,6); IP filtering and firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP, EIGRP,OSPF, ISIS); Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet (STP, RSTP, VLANs).

- Complete hands-on on Routing and Switching and Security that includes CISCO, Fortigate Firewalls and IPS devices like RADWARE and F5.

- Good working knowledge of MPLS.

- Experience with Juniper, Foundry / Brocade, Cisco are relevant.

- Familiar working in a data centre environment.

- Knowledge of fibre and WDM systems including DR and domain management.

- Able to analyse problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery.

- Clear communicator (written and verbal).

- Capable of prioritising and managing own workload.

- Able to manage a team and effectively delegate.
