MAIN PURPOSE :

Developing the overall category vision and strategy for Dairy Products SBU and conceiving and implementing marketing plans to ensure that the brand category objectives are met.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Developing the category vision based on the organization's long term focus areas and developing the overall category strategy and objectives for facilitating achievement of the organization's Topline & Contribution targets for the current year

- Conceiving annual marketing plans based on the business plan, market research and category vision, including detailed plans for brand launches, product launches, packaging development, communication strategy and consumer promotions & on ground activities.

- Ensuring timely implementation of the annual marketing plans through brand and product launches/ re launches, consumer promotions and on-ground activities (road shows, free sampling, games etc.).

- Developing & implementing an optimal communication strategy to drive the brand image and equity in line with the annual plans in the market, in terms of advertising development, media mix, POS and merchandizing.

- Developing determination of product pricing based on product costs, gross margin benchmarks, profitability targets, market dynamics, consumer acceptability and launch objectives, in co-ordination with Product Development, Sales and Production departments.

- Driving new product development based on emerging consumer needs, targeted business volumes and competitor benchmarking, and ensuring successful launch of the new products post concept testing and product testing.

- Driving new packaging development for new as well existing products using Market research for providing design inputs and co-ordination with Packaging department for assessing design feasibility.

- Developing Consumer understanding through various research and analysis tools such as syndicated surveys, competitor benchmarking, usage and attitude studies, consumer recall and brand tracking etc., to support effective decisions with respective to marketing plans, product launches, communication strategy, new product packaging and product pricing.

- Continuous tracking of competing Brand and Categories in the Market to keep in sync with changing trends, consumer expectations, and market dynamics.

- Co-ordinating with various business partners such as advertising agencies, marketing research agencies, media agencies etc. and facilitating vendor identification and development.

- Preparing the annual Marketing budget and monitoring budget allocation and marketing expenditures.

- Providing supervision and guidance to the Marketing team, facilitating identification of their training and development needs and ensuring their professional growth.

- Education : MBA in specialization in Marketing

- Experience : 12-17 years in FMCG sector

- Training : Brand Portfolio Management & Strategic Marketing
