JD General - Age : 42-47 years - Role : DGM (GST) - Location : Corporate Office Qualifications: - Basic Qualification : B Com with LLB - Additional qualifications : CA/ ICWA / MBA would be preferred. knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage Personal Attributes: Candidate should - Have excellent written, communication skills - Have excellent team management skills, working with cross functional team and providing supports to different stakeholders Experience : 18 - 20 years overall experience, split as below: - 15 years - Hard Core Indirect Tax experience in manufacturing companies handling GST, Central Excise, Service Tax, Customs and DGFT, VAT, CST matters - 10-12 years in litigation management handling departmental queries, audits, investigations, drafting replies to Show Cause notices, drafting of appeals, representing before the Appellate Commissioners, assisting advocates for finalisation of WRITs, preparing briefs for Sr Advocates etc. Compliance - To review periodically Tax Position already taken in line with new notifications, circulars. - To prepare tax compliance process / SOPs to be followed under GST - To provide clarifications/guidance to various stake holders from time to time. - To conduct and supervise training programs/ lectures for various personnel. - To visit plants/sales offices to ensure proper Indirect Tax Compliance and to ensure proper utilisation of Input Credit. - Dissemination of information relating to changes in the Statutory provisions/procedures affecting activities. - Guiding and supervising the team for proper tax compliance for all states, timely payment of tax and filing of periodical returns, verification of periodical compliance reports received from various locations and for taking necessary action. - Review of GST returns / Input tax credit register / ISD mechanisms to check the compliances and control. - Coordination with Statutory Authorities of various locations for conduct of periodical audits, replying to audit queries raised by the authorities and participating in consultation meetings with senior officials. - Interaction with the auditors for finalisation of audit reports and annual returns of all locations. Litigation Management : - Preparation/ finalisation of replies to notices, filing of appeals. - Appointment of Advocates to handle litigation wherever required - Briefing the Advocates/consultants in connection with litigation matters for contesting in Tribunals/ High Courts and Supreme Court to arrive at strategic steps to be taken. - Representing companies before the departmental officials, appellate commissioner for personal hearing before the Government/ Judicial Authorities. Compensation part - Annual CTC - Candidate should be drawing less than Rs. 40/- to 50/- lacs.
