Deputy General Manager/General Manager - Marketing & Communication - Retail/Media/FMCG (10-20 yrs)
Duties and responsibilities :
- Collaborate with Executive Director and departmental directors to develop an annual marketing and communications plan
- Prepare budget to support the marketing and communications plan
- Collaborate with Director of Development on creation and delivery of fundraising activities and marketing initiatives
- Research media trends and results to support development of future marketing and communication strategies
Marketing and communications operations:
- Ensure all marketing and communications articulate proper content and image of organization across all mediums
- Lead the development of communication content across all media channels (newsletter, websites, social media, etc.) to increase awareness of the organization's mission and encourage followers to become constituents
- Oversee production processes across all communication mediums, ensuring timely delivery and quality in presentation
- Manage creative/graphic development for print, digital and merchandising requirements
- Oversee the development and collection of content for use in marketing and communications activities
- Ensure web development and delivery supports effective communication of organization messages
- Measure and analyze effectiveness of each marketing process and medium to ensure they deliver added value to organization goals
Manage marketing and communications staff:
- In consultation with the Executive Director, define role requirements, recruit, interview and select well qualified staff
- Develop training plans to enhance staff skills, increase their breath of scope and continuously grow the capability of the department
- Regularly evaluate/collaborate with each staff member on personal performance and development; ensure they are engaged in organizational success and aware of how they contribute
