Deputy General Manager - Commercial/Finance - Cement Manufacturing - CA

Our client is one of the first cement producers established in the United Arab Emirates and now the biggest cement manufacturer in the U.A.E.

Presently, they seek to hire a Deputy General manager - Commercial to be based in Ras Al Khaimah.

The objective of the role is to manage the company's financial growth, accounting & controlling processes like budgeting, forecasting and reporting and also to lead support functions like HR, IT and Admin.

KRA :

1. Annual Budgeting : To actively participate in the preparation of Annual Business Plans and leading the revenue & inventory part of the AOP

2. Financing :

a. Monitored business performance, handling budgets, supervising accounts, developing financial models and monitoring cash flow

b. Responsible for all financial matters including banking relations, cash management, facilities, costing for project bids

3. Accounting Build & Drive the monthly reviews in Accounts and Plants along with GM Accounts

4. MIS :

a. To ensure timely and accurate MIS

b. To analyse reasons for deviations from Budget vs Actual and Actual vs previous month

c. To ensure schedules for G&A and Plant conversion cost are accurate

5. Internal Control :

a. Ensuring controls around financial reporting

b. Closure control weakness identified by internal audit team/ external auditors

6. Cost Monitoring :

a. To ensure complete Annual Budgeting of the Company

b. To establish Business Finance Management accounting to ensure monitor all Operational Expenses

7. Audit :

a. Liaise with the auditors (both internal and external) of the company in the focus areas and implement follow-up of the actions to be carried out of audit observations/ recommendations as directed by CFO. To develop and maintain accounting principles and practices while adhering to accounting standards and corporate laws.

8. Banking Relationship : To Manage smooth banking relationships for favorable credit lines from banks

9. Co-ordinate with IT, HR and Admin departments to close the reporting and other requirements from ERP

The position reports to the MD and has a team of Finance, HR and IT people. The Ideal Candidate is a CA with more than 15 years of experience in the process industry. Manufacturing experience is a MUST.
