Deputy General Manager - Audit - Metal & Mining Business

We have been mandated for the below mentioned position by a large global conglomerate in Metal & Mining Business.

Position Name: Deputy General Manager- Audit

Department: Corporate Management Audit

Reports to: Sr. Vice President

Location: Barbil, Odisha

Qualification : B.E/B.Tech-Mining or CA

Experience : 10-16 Years

Job Purpose

To assist the Portfolio Head (PH) in identifying and mitigating risks in the mining Units of group by conducting internal/management audits under Corporate Management Audit Department as well as monitoring compliances for improving operational efficiencies and effectiveness of internal control systems.

Key Result Areas:

Execution of the Audit under Corporate Management Audit Division in assigned businesses:

- To assist in performing quality audits of assigned areas / processes in respect of mines.

- To improve audit quality as well as effectiveness.

- To build in an effective network of professional contacts to strengthen internal audit processes.

- Identify and highlight fraud and value violations issues.

- Conduct Follow up audits & tracking & updating of pending audit issues for the assigned business / process.

- Development of potential of Subordinates & supervise audit working papers & permanent audit files.
