Deputy General Manager - Accounts - Automobile - CA (8-20 yrs)

Position profile:
The position holder will be responsible for managing the day to day accounting operations and issues for the Plants/Business Units while supporting the Head Accounts & Commercial in all corporate level accounting activities. The job incumbent will also support in development and implementation of financial accounting systems and processes for the department. He will maintain necessary internal controls relating to Accounts and ensure that proper functioning of the Payments Section. He will be responsible for VAT administration & compliance and timely obtaining of State Incentives. He has the custodial role of fixed assets. He has responsibility for ensuring Insurance of Assets and certain specific policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Adherence to accounting norms & accuracy and appropriateness of accounting data
2. Periodic finalization and audit of standalone and consolidated accounts
3. Managing payments along with Cash Flow Planning
4. Close coordination with Treasury on banking & disbursement
5. Statutory compliance & Internal Controls
6. Review of reconciliation of Vendor Accounts & ensure settlement of overdue accounts
7. VAT/CST compliance and assessment including audit
8. Tracking & availing State Incentives on regular basis
9. Taking appropriate Insurance against Fixed Assets, Current Assets and certain specialized policies
10. People development and team building
