This role will be responsible for the managing Shared Services operations and consolidation of the P&amp;L/ Balance Sheet Group company including subsidiaries/ Joint ventures, etc in a timely and accurate manner. The role will ensure compliance with the Indian Accounting Standards and IFRS and the company's policies and procedures in closing of the financial statements. The role will also be responsible for leading Financial Controlling initiatives in Finance functions in order to ensure smooth closure of internal and statutory audits. Key Responsibilities Strategic - Support the Finance Controller in defining the Financial Policies/ Controls and Procedures for the organization. - Support further development of shared service strategy collaborating with finance and business leaders and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations. - Identify any areas of internal accounting and control weaknesses or potential risk and map the same with adequate provisions. - Perform autonomously, initiate and manage complex, departmental and/or cross- company work. Operations - Review of Controls &amp; Compliance at various operating locations and Shared Services teamsto ensure financial statements are prepared in a timely and accurate manner. - Scrutinize and check periodically the hygiene of Financial Statements by proactively identifying user training gaps impacting same. - Ensure consolidation and finalization of the year-end financial statements including P&amp;L and Balance Sheet and Audits(statutory and tax audit) and consolidation of the subsidiary company accounts as per the Indian Accounting Standards. - Issue guidelines to all locations for timely and accurate closure of accounts. - Carry out Financial and Balance Sheet Reviews to ensure correctness of the same. - Drive timely capitalization of projects and timely review of ongoing projects. - Actively participate in review of accounting policies and procedure for ensuring benefits relating to SEZ, tax incentives, etc. - Ensure accuracy and timelines in preparation of consolidated accounts and financial MIS in line with the accounting policies. - Participate in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies for the company. - Work towards effective resolution of any discrepancy or data/ entry issue for any business in consultation with the Finance Controller. Documentation &amp; MIS: - Ensure all statutory and accounting related documents and records are maintained consistently, accurately and up to date - Ensure all updation on the SAP System is undertaken and completed in a timely manner and resolve any issues that may be highlighted - Ensure that all statutory records are accurately maintained at all locations. - Review and sign off all MIS reports that are to be presented to the senior management team. Shared Services: - Develop critical KPIs for the shared service center, measure, audit and report performance against KPIs - Maintain weekly, monthly communications and metrics reporting with business partners - Lead continuous systems and process improvement initiative Audit: - Ensure timely completion of the statutory audits for the Group. - Review inputs from Internal auditor for the finance function. - Own the process of ensuring Segregation of Duties for the Group. - Ensure all required information is provided to the auditors and all queries raised are adequately addressed. - Ensure audit reports are received from auditors in timely manner. People - Orient the Control &amp; Compliance teams at the businesses to the company's financial policies and processes for accounting and entry. - Attend training as per training needs identified or imparted by HR. - Share learning with members of the team for cross functional development. - Identify development areas for direct reporters and implement action plans for development. - Conduct performance assessment of team member &amp; provide feedback on strengths &amp; development areas, drive action plans for development. Profile Requirements : Educational Qualification - CA First Attempt Experience - Overall 12-15 years with at least 6 years of leading consolidation and reporting function for a large organization with multiple locations and businesses or leading audit for similar organization.
