We are looking to hire a senior resource for our Finance Team. Approximately 15 years of post-qualification work experience in accountancy, audits, and taxation in sync with the mentioned Job Responsibilities.

Job Overview:

- A senior accountancy and tax director, leading a team of 7 to 10 executives.

- Will lead and manage monthly and annual accounts finalization, audits (Internal, Statutory, and Governmental) and follow up.

- Financial Planning & Budgetary control; And regular MIS.

- Multiple occasions of determining tax treatments to ensure compliance and regular filing of returns under Indirect and Direct tax laws, and Tax assessments and inspections by Government.

- Preview of various contracts from taxation and financial standpoints.

- Liaison with external tax consultants, auditors (@ big 4) and other agencies in compliance to audits, obtaining opinions, PF, Gratuity, ESI, Labor Welfare Fund, etc for intra group entities.

Job Responsibilities:

- To accomplish accountancy human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.

- To achieve accounting operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

- To meet accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

- To confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.

- To maintain accounting controls by assisting in defining accounting policies and procedures.

- To guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and tax laws; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.

- To maintain financial security by establishing internal controls.

- To avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed GAAP and Tax legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures where required.

- To protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

- To review the direct and indirect tax returns for the entity; checks all returns before placing them for approval and sign off.

- To handle audits as per tax laws, internal control, and statutory audit requirements.

- To act as a resource for all staff queries.

- To perform basic tax research and liaise with the expert consultants.

- To prepare research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the appropriate authorities and the registrar

- To prepare tax planning and estimates, and review tax accruals and its workings.

- To analyze changes in Indian GAAP and adopt them in accounting and reporting.

- To delegate work to reporting staff, supervise their work.

- To supervise the invoicing to members, patrons and sponsors.

- To ensure adherence to compliance framework

- To lead accounting software and technology process development and enhancements.

- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
