Deputy Chief Financial Officer Roles and Responsibilities : - Prepare the business performance MIS on a monthly/ quarterly/ annual basis and assist the top management in undertaking course corrective action - Assist the top management in new business proposal evaluation and provide inputs on the same financial and accounting management - Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances - Develop financial and tax strategies and manage the capital request and budgeting processes - Report financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances; developing improvements. - Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports ensuring timeliness and adherence to accounting standards. - Facilitate internal and statutory audits and actions audit recommendations approved by the top management - Develop and maintain finance & accounting policies in alignment with statutory requirements - Work towards ensuring an effective transition to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) within the prescribed timelines - Work in coordination with the sector/ group CFO to ensure alignment with the Group's financial and accounting management policies - Timely closure of accounts - Compliance to audit recommendations - Compliance to accounting policies - Compliance to IFRS convergence Risk Management and Corporate Governance : - Ensures that all functional policies are compliant with applicable laws, regulations and industry norms. - Finance Risk Management and adherence to Group Philosophies. - Anticipates areas of business risk with respect to corporate processes and takes appropriate risk mitigation initiatives. - Ensures that appropriate checks & balances are inculcated in the organization structure and processes. - Ensure statutory compliance to corporate governance requirements - Management assurance and Statutory Compliance. Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations - Number of risk exceptions raised in audit report - Number of risk mitigation initiatives successfully deployed Budgeting and cash flow management : - Facilitate the process of budgeting and monitor the performance of SBUs/ departments and the organization against the defined budget performance parameters. - Forecasts working capital requirements of the organization and manage funding through appropriate channels - Manage the risk of foreign exchange rate fluctuations. - Return on investment - Actual v/s budgeted exposure Required Qualification and experience : - Graduate Degree with a professional qualification as CA. - 12+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts functions with atleast 5 years of experience as Head of finance function for a manufacturing company
