Deputy Chief Financial Officer - CA - Agriculture Commodities Business (10-20 yrs)
We are hiring for a Deputy CFO role for client in West Africa. This is not an easy location so please apply only if you are ok with the location. We are looking for clients who have worked in Africa before. THAT IS MANDATORY.
Ideally, they should be from the agriculture commodities industry but the client would be ok to look at related industries such as FMCG, Food to name a few.
Experience level: 10+ years
Education: Should be a qualified CA
Should have worked in Africa.
Responsibilities include:
- The Overall responsibility is to play a business partner role for the management and control of financial administration, taxation, accounting and directing the financial strategies that contribute to optimal management of profitability.
- Developed methodologies to support the business and strategic changes in the organization. Liaising with management personnel at various levels (Plant/BU/Group) to build partnership & collaborative approach.
- Effective working capital management and ensuring cheapest and timely fund availability to the business.
- Ensuring development and compliance
- Regular monitoring of existing practices and implementation of best practices on currency hedging, taxation optimization opportunities, overhead reductions, commercial negotiations etc
- Interpreting all the financial and operation number to the business team on periodic basis.
- Handle PNL (Products) independently, finalization of books of account along with complete scheduling and reconciliations
- Managing independently external stake holder relationship i.e. Internal and Statutory auditors, Taxation Authorities, Insurer, Bankers, other Government authorities/ Regulatory bodies.
- Physical verification of stocks, Fixed Assets and other critical assets/ documents on regular basis.
