Deputy/Assistant Manager - Contracts - E-Commerce

Experience : 4- 7 years post qualification experience in Insurance Sector

Education : LL.B./LLM premium Law School

Work experience in Insurance companies in a contract management role is preferred

Job Summary :

You will be a part of the Legal team and will be working closely and assisting the in house legal and business teams operating in the Indian market with some interaction with the overseas market as well. You will be responsible for providing commercial and transactional support, working on assigned projects, especially in the Insurance tech and Auto-tech sector.

Required Skills :

- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of all commercial laws and regulations framework around Insurance/Insurance broking companies, such as IRDA regulations, Outsourcing Guidelines applicable on Insurance/Insurance broking companies, Contract Act, Companies Act, IPR Laws, Information Technology laws, Data Protection Law, Stamp, and Registration Acts.

- Ability to understand the business requirements and interpret client's contracts & find solutions to complex legal issues.

- Draft, review, redline, negotiate and close various contracts and other transactional documents, conduct general commercial and legal research, and draft commercial documents.

Responsibilities :

- Reviewing contracts against established standards and negotiate acceptable changes, working from templates

- Formulate and modify templates for general transactions in accordance with the business needs

- Converting business ideas into legal constructs most suitable for the commercial needs of the organization

- Understanding the needs of assigned business units and forming business unit specific contracting standards

- Reviewing and redlining contracts and other transactional documents
