Job Title: Lead Data Architect (Media Ecosystem)

Department: Global IT

Role Overview

- The Lead Data Architect (Media Ecosystem) has accountability to the Global Architecture Director and to the Lead Architect for Media Ecosystem.

- They will be the architect accountable for leading the design and enabling the delivery of all the data for the Media Ecosystem(ME).

- This involves the creation of Target State Architecture, transitional architectures and Roadmaps, high level dependencies for ensuring all relevant options are explored for time, cost and compliance to the company's standards, policies and practices while meeting the business- requirements.

- The role will also oversee all the architecture work across ME's key domains of Digital Services (operational Data), Data Refinery (Big Data and Analytics capability), shared services and Enterprise Capabilities (master Data, Workflow and Integration), shepherding them through the relevant governance.

- They will work closely with the Lead Architect to ensure ME work is aligned to the greater portfolio of change.

- They will be expected to be prepared to deep dive into specific problems in order to assist other architects in providing solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Develop strong stakeholder relationships with the Product Owners / project teams, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders bringing in external thought leadership and helping to shape problem statements and requirements

- Promote the use of shared enterprise data assets to not only help accelerate time to value but also to reduce costs and organisational complexity.

- Identify ME data that have wider application as enterprise capability

- Work to ensure that workstreams do not unknowingly duplicate data or diverge from strategic direction.

- Comply with all governance and due diligence applicable to the solution, and ensure compliance is maintained across the platform designs

- Review of solutions against Architectural principles and technology blueprint including assessment of impact of non-compliance, giving pragmatic outcomes

- Work with individual Solution Architects on evolution, rollout, integration of applications and shared data.

- Ensure important decisions and the rationale underpinning them is captured, and that technology risk is visible, accepted and managed

- Create a test data strategy

- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards

- Create, review and administer models in our strategic tooling; ADONIS and ADOIT

- Mentoring other architects

- Create and review Architecture Design Decisions

Candidate Profile:

- Is either performing or is capable of demonstrating the capabilities need to act as the lead data architect in an area - taking full accountability for the data strategy and realization;

- 7+ years delivering Data Architecture

- Strong experience of Solution, Integration, and especially data architecture

- Has either led or been heavily involved in project change and delivery activity - they know and understand how resourcing, budgeting, planning and delivery work in a corporate environment; culture over an environment of high ambiguity and complexity to achieve practical outcomes

- Has a highly professional, flexible, energetic and collaborative approach
