We are looking for an experienced VP, Operations to organize and oversee the daily operations of our company. You will be the one to ensure that the business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and training people.

The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and would require you to have a thorough knowledge of various company processes. You must be an excellent leader who is good at managing people and can discover the most efficient ways to run the business. The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company's operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.

Being an integral part of a young start-up, you would be expected to work across verticals and don various hats, but the main focus areas would be -

- Planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress.

- Support the production planning process and ensure key performance indicators are in place and production targets are met.

- Implementation of exhaustive processes and best practices across all levels and departments including plant for a smoother function of the business holistically.

- Business planning, Stock forecasting, profit forecasting (quarterly and annual), and execution of POs on time including procurement from China and other countries as well.

- Optimization, budgeting, and forecasting of costs for various departments.

- Identify and implement various business strategies to help strengthen the business and to maximize profit.

- Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits.

- Innovate solutions for better servicing & improved warranty processes to reduce TAT.

- Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization to ensure automation.

- Execute Strategic Alliances to enhance products visibility.

- Liaising with the core team to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.

- Engage, mentor, and nurture team members.

- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.

- Work with cross-functional teams, internal and external, and support all functions of the business to work together.

- Ensuring regulatory compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates should have graduated from a top school and should have worked in a successful start-up and willing to engage for a long period of time.

- have experience in fundraising or have prior experience at a VC firm or has Angel investing experience.

- Excellent organizational and leadership ability

- Analytical mind

- Problem-solving aptitude

- In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service, etc.)

- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

- Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)

Responsibilities:

- Liaise with management to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals

- Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress

- Working together with key participants to compile the budget.

- Spearheading strategies to steer the company's future in a positive direction.

- Supervise team from different departments and provide constructive feedback

- Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements

- Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation

- Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction

- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability

- Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation

- Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors

- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics

- Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations

- Employing various initiatives to coach employees to optimize their capabilities.

- Completing performance reviews in a prudent manner.

- Assessing and implementing improved processes and new technologies, and collaborating with management regarding the implementation of these improvements.

- Responsible for everything from negotiations, budgeting, and purchasing.
