Key job responsibilities include the following :

- The professional needs to support, develop, write, and deploy thought leadership and point of views (POV) in the IM industry. The professional will need to develop research ideas, frame hypotheses, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, synthesize findings, and demonstrate strong research, writing presentation, communication and analytical skills. The professional will work with the India and U.S.-based IM colleagues.

The professional will be required to :

- Conduct research and contribute towards shaping and writing reports one merging business issues and trends in the IM sector.

- Support research proposals and projects being developed by senior professionals in US IM team.

- Demonstrate sound working knowledge in IM industry or its sub-sectors (PE/HF/MF) by delivering industry insights. Candidates with no prior U.S. IM experience will be expected to ramp-up quickly on the sector.

- Write high-quality reports targeted at a C-suite audience based on insights and findings from his or her research and analysis and input from colleagues.

- Apply research techniques such as academic literature review, primary research, financial analysis, case studies, and quantitative data analyses such as advanced statistical analysis.

- Conduct in-depth, complex data analyses to form or validate hypotheses.

- Present research proposals or findings to senior colleagues in US.

- Independently execute large sections of research projects ensuring quality and timelines.

- Liaise with India FSI TL and U.S. based IM team to understand, refine, and manage project expectations and priorities.

- Broad understanding of key social media platforms is preferable- Twitter, LinkedIn, SlideShare. Needs to be savvy and hands-on with some of these platforms.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

- Sound knowledge of one or more IM sectors.

- Sound analytical skills with experience in one or more of the following research methods: Primary research (surveys,interviews), financial analysis, secondary research, and case study research. Ability to conduct in-depth, complex data analysis is preferred.

- Candidates with strong industry/sector secondary research experience is preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Journalistic and narrative style of writing is preferred along with prior experience in report-writing and research report development.

- Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word

- Ability to develop compelling and analytical data visualizations using one or more tools like Excel, Tableau, or others.

- Exposure to working in teams, including virtual teams. Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected.

Other skills required are as follows :

- Understanding of strategy models and frameworks and ability to apply them in research problems.

- Experience working with US clients and teams is a plus. Since the job requires working with US-based colleagues, the ability to work across cultures is important.

Qualification :

- Any Graduate & MBA (Premier B school preferred)

Preferred : Master's Degree like CFA/CA

Experience : 3-4 years (3-4 years of prior work experience in PE/HF/MF Industry)
