We are looking for someone with 10+ years of experience in sales/pre-sales/business development role to lead the Sales team in India. As a Manager, you'll help elevate the India team's delivery on projects and will be responsible for coaching junior team members, providing them with developmental feedback and career guidance. The role provides an opportunity to work on projects that involve doing research and analysis and helping build relationships and win business for Deloitte. The incumbent should possess strong leadership qualities; research, analytical, presentation, and client targeting skills; and an excellent command of the English language. The professional should be self-motivated and have a flair for leading mid-sized team.

Work you'll do :

As the leader of the Sales team in US India (USI), your key responsibilities would be:

Research responsibilities:

- Understand, manage, and independently deliver against project expectations and requirements:

- Responsible for providing market intelligence insights into various target markets, potential clients, Industry issues and trends, competitive analysis etc.

- Developing market intelligence through the public domain from primary and secondary sources, including financial databases like Factiva, Bloomberg etc.

- Design appropriate research processes and measurement tools to prepare comprehensive reports and summaries for sales opportunities

- Execute creative analysis and provide insight to identify issues and arrive at recommendations

- Collaborate with US/India team members and manage all aspects of assigned projects

- Apply established tools and methodologies to support sales efforts

- Build effective working relationships with subject matter experts and executives

Management responsibilities

- Work closely with the USI Service Line Leader and US Sales leadership in developing and driving the group's strategic priorities

- Manage a team of at 14+ professionals

- Build relationships with US colleagues and facilitate collaboration between USI and US teams

- Help team members with time management, prioritization, project management

- Ensure consistent timely delivery of high-quality work by each team member

- Identify and address development and training needs, map career paths, and overall elicit the best possible performance from each team member

- Provide USI and US leaders with reports on team task completion and issues affecting project and task timelines

- Manage performance evaluation of team members and recognize them with timely rewards

Mentoring responsibilities/Upholding quality standards

- Guide junior colleagues on projects and stakeholder interactions

- Carefully read, edit, and provide detailed feedback on team members- draft deliverables

- Ensure compliance with team and firm best practices, including adherence to templates, timelines, and guidelines

- Recognize junior colleagues- strengths and development needs and provide them with ongoing feedback and coaching

The Sales COE function is an integral component of Deloitte and a key enabler for the firm's strategic agenda of winning in the market. Working across the different service lines, Sales COE supports the US Sales Executives in the various stages of the Sales Life Cycle by providing Market Intelligence insights into the various target markets, potential clients, Industry issues and trends, competitive analysis to name a few. The support provided by the US India team helps the Sales Executives in creating valuable touchpoints with the potential clients, leading to better revenue generation opportunities.

Requisite core skills:

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills

- Strong persuasion, influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

- Proactive, innovative, and strong team player

- Excellent team management and coaching skills

- Passionate about serving internal stakeholders to deliver the best of the firm and strengthen/develop relationships with external clients

- Ability to think strategically and conceptualize operational plans to assist with sales efforts

- Strong research skills. Extensive knowledge of databases such as Factiva, Hoovers, One Source, etc.

- Strong knowledge of marketing frameworks such as SWOT, PESTLE, Porter's Five Forces, etc.

- Ability to structure, organize, and synthesize information to develop key insights at company/industry level

- Strong presentation and verbal and written communication skills, and experience communicating to, and working with, virtual teams

- Ability to develop compelling and analytical data visualizations using one or more software tools, such as Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint

- Accustomed to working in teams, including virtual teams. Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected

- Knowledge of the US/Global industry sectors is preferred

Qualifications, Experience, Work Location, and Timing

Required:

- Academic qualification: CA/Master's Degree like MBA, preferably in Marketing

Work experience: 10+ years; should have worked with Sales Executives/Business Development Managers and in a pre-sales, RFP, pursuit environment

- Location: Hyderabad

- Work hours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (expected to stretch during busy periods)
