Working on high profile international assignments, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of Financial Advisory projects, with a mix of both public and private company engagements, within a highly commercial, client focussed environment.

- The Transaction Services team supports Deloitte colleagues principally in the U.K., Canada and Australia with growing demand from other countries, in delivering top quality services to clients around the world. The team's primary work streams include Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Services, Operational Due Diligence, Commercial Due Diligence as well as Restructuring Services.

- Your role will be to support the Head of Transaction Services in the day to day running of the team. The team has over 60 professionals with a broad range of financial, operational and commercial transactional experience, including acquisition due diligence, vendor due diligence, vendor assist, capital markets, operational and commercial due diligence engagements. Along with managing and delivering project work.

- You will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and overall delivery of work by the team (quality, service levels, etc.). You will assist on the delivery of some projects. You will continue to develop and hone your leadership capabilities and will also be responsible for implementing plans to develop the skills of the team.

- You will be working alongside key stakeholders, as well as wider FA senior management, which will help you develop and improve your leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities - 

As a DeputyManager in the team you will:

- Assist in the operational management of the team of over 75 professionals.

- Manage the team's workload, their delivery of work including quality and service levels etc. and deliver training and implement plans to upskill the team.

- Liaise with key stakeholders in the U.K., Canada, Australia, and the Middle East, among others, to allocate resources to engagements, build relationships, and identify opportunities to grow the business.

- Assist in staff management, including recruitment, and day to day staffing matters.

- Assist in the implementation of the strategy, and prepare annual plans to meet the objectives of the practice.

- Oversee the team's budget and monitor performance.

- Take responsibility for practice risk management and quality assurance.

- Assist in the delivery of transactions. Interpretation, evaluation and analysis of information memoranda, business plans, publicly available information on the target business.

- Production of quality deliverables (including Excel and Powerpoint documents) within agreed timescales, briefing Partner/Director/Senior Manager/Manager accordingly. On larger deals this may involve responsibility for the production of discrete sections. This will include:

- Review and analysis of historical trading, cash flow and balance sheets

- Review and analysis of projections, and underlying assumptions

- Reporting of potential key issues for our client including identification of risk or price affecting considerations

- Work on a variety of transactions in a variety of industries from IPO's to large cross border acquisitions

- Be part of cross border teams from 2 to 10 on engagements lasting from just a few days to several months

- Assist clients from large multinationals, private equity houses to owner managed businesses
 
Requirements - 

- Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification/experience

- A very strong academic record.

- At least 3-6 years of relevant experience; equivalent of an experienced deputy manager.

- Experience of leading teams.

- Transaction Services experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-6 years of Transaction Services experience. Candidates with overseas Transaction Services experience in one of our key territories would be an advantage.

- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

- A proven ability to build and manage relationships with clients.

- An ability to manage and prioritise workloads.

- Experience recruiting staff and coaching staff.

- Excellent technical skills, including experience MS Office.

- Knowledge of visualisation tools.

- Offshore experience would be strongly favoured.
