The key job responsibilities include the following :

The professional needs to support, develop, write, and deploy thought leadership projects in the LSHC industry. The professional will need to assist with developing research ideas, frame hypotheses, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, synthesize findings, and demonstrate strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.

The professional will be required to :

- Demonstrate sound working knowledge of the LSHC industry or its sub-sectors by delivering market-shaping analytical insights. Candidates with no prior U.S. LSHC experience will be expected to ramp-up quickly on the sector.

- Demonstrate strong English writing skills as required for thought leadership reports, articles, blogs, and case studies.

- Ability to design engaging storyboards/outlines based on research and analysis

- Provide support in designing research proposals and formulating research plans both in terms of topical focus and analytical approach.

- Liaise with U.S.-based B&S team to understand, refine, and manage project expectations and priorities.

- Apply established research tools and methodologies to develop research ideas and be willing to learn new analytical techniques (like text and database mining) and/or new software programs.

The key skills required are as follows:

Core skills :

- Self-motivated and strong team player.

- Business research/thought leadership in LSHC industry. Knowledge of the U.S. LSHC market preferred. Specialization in any one or more sub-sectors of LSHC such as life sciences, health plans, health care providers with broad understanding of the cross-sector linkages and implications.

- Sound analytical skills with experience in one or more of the following research methods: Primary research(surveys, interviews), financial analysis, secondary research, and case study research. Ability to conduct in-depth, complex data analysis is preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Greater weight placed on more developed skills in journalistic and narrative style of writing. Prior experience in report-writing, journalism, research report development preferred.

- Ability to develop compelling and analytical data visualizations using one or more tools like Excel, Tableau, or others.

- Exposure to working in teams, including virtual teams. Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected.

- Ability to build professional relationships, a spirit of co-operation, and a flexible approach to work are required.

Other skills :

- Understanding of strategy models and frameworks and ability to apply them in research problems.

- Knowledge of the U.S. market and experience in working with U.S. clients is a plus. Since the job requires significant coordination with the U.S. colleagues, the ability to network with the U.S. counterparts is important.

Industry knowledge :

- Sound understanding of life sciences and healthcare (LSHC)industry; knowledge of the U.S. LSHC market preferred

- Prior exposure to business research/thought leadership in LSHC industry

Writing skills :

- Outlining and storyboarding: Ability to build a logical and engaging outline based on the research

- Adept in varied styles of writing - articles, thought wares, reports/ POVs, blogs, case studies.

- Research and critical thinking: Ability to dive deep into a complex topic area and analyze information to ascertain strengths and weaknesses of an argument, alternative solutions, and proposed approaches.

- Analytical skills: Basic to fair level of analytical thinking, deriving logical conclusions from datasets.

- Communication skills: Strong verbal skills and experience communicating / working with virtual teams.

Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word. Familiarity with statistical software such as SAS, Stata, or R preferred.

Qualification :

Any Graduate

Preferred : Master's Degree like MBA/CFA/MBE/MFC/MIB/MA(Eco)/MSc(Stats)/ MPharma

Experience : 3-5 years

Work Hours : 11am to 8pm
