Dell - Practice Lead - Advanced Analytics (12-17 yrs)

Practice Leads in Digital Business Services (DBS) of Dell are responsible for proactively identifying and recommending strategies for growth; to provide leadership to the designated team; to play an advisory role to customers, and to provide thought-leadership and guidance in the designated area.

- This will also include overseeing services delivery and pre-sales support within their designated practice; and growing business within their area through interaction with Sales Teams, Customers, and Partners.

- Practice Leads are also responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and integration efforts for client business solutions using the latest products and technologies; managing customer relations and providing oversight of system implementations, and delivery of projects on time and on budget, with contributions to the application design, development and prototyping as necessary.

Role Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership to the advanced analytics teams which includes data scientists, modelers and solution architects

- Management presence in existing and new accounts

- Create and execute a business plan that includes deep engagement with the verticals and other relevant stakeholders at Dell

- Work with service line practitioners and Account/Sales teams to manage the pre-sales process with clients and provide the thought leadership throughout the sales-cycle from initial qualification to closure of the deal

- Play an advisory role to customers and prospects and provide thought leadership & advanced analytics (predictive and prescriptive analytics) solutions to customers

- Work with the identified key alliance partners and software vendors to jointly develop and own GTM plans

- Develop new delivery strategies leveraging Dell's Global Delivery Model

- Provide solutions to customers that are both of distinctive quality and useful to the client in terms of improving their competitive position

- Building and sustaining effective communications with all stakeholders towards the goal of maximizing opportunity development and customer experience, as well as business development activities

- Overseeing large projects from a budget, resource and timetable perspective

- Mentoring and training less experienced services delivery employees as needed

- Identifying opportunities for delivery management process improvements

- Maintaining targeted billable utilization

Requirements:

- Candidate will have at least ten (10) years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in management or services consulting or related areas which demonstrate the candidate's ability to think strategically and solve business problems

- Candidate must have at least five (5) years experience in consulting and presales Experience

- Experience in building a new business or acting as an advisor to venture businesses

- Prior experience in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment or any experience with a Global Delivery Model based IT Services company will be an added advantage

- Broad knowledge of relevant analytics platforms and technologies, such as SAS, SPSS, R

- Advanced analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills

- Prior experience with Business Intelligence is desirable

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are an absolute requirement

- Candidate should be comfortable interacting with Sr. IT and Business Leadership levels (CXO Levels) within the Customer space

- Highly developed customer interaction and presentation skills are mandatory

- Advanced organizing and planning skills to manage large project teams and complex customer deliverables

- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment

- Ability to lead large cross-functional project teams

- Demonstrated attentiveness to quality and productivity

- Technical and project management experience

- Relevant degree from college / university, plus MBA from a Tier1 business school

- Demonstrated initiative and positive can-do attitude
